Speaking of which, what is the best store at WDW to get wedding-themed items?

There was a store in DTD that had a lot of wedding stuff, but i can't remember the name of it of the top of my head, but it is one of thefirst ones you come to when you are entering the shopping area opposite from PI. I belive that the gift shop in GF also has a lot of wedding items.

Just an update...

I thought there used to be a shop at the GF that was almost exclusively themed for Disney Wedding stuff. But we went looking for it in September and were told that they changed/closed that shop.

While you will still find some things at the GF gift shop, it's not really anything you can't find at the World of Disney store in DTD.

You can also get Mickey garters on e-bay if you don't want to do a frantic search the week of your wedding.

you could even make your own by getting a plain one and adding ribbon and disney charms. It should be easy enough and you can personalize it.

I know there was that Beverly Clark line that did the classic Mickey's with pearls exclusively for Disney. While I know she stopped the line, I have seen the items available on E-Bay. You may have to check in and out regularly to see when they post as they may not be available all the time.

Lastly, I have found a number of fun Mickey garters by simply doing a Google search for Disney themed garters. Another option- a lot of places sell charms you could sew onto (rather easily) another garter of your choice. Take a look online... there a tons of garter sites! If you can find someone who makes them, they should be willing to work with you on almost anything.

Yes unforunately hiwaygal is right We found very limited amount of wedding items both at dontown disney and even less at the GF...just the basic wedding ears, books, statues but that was it...that was in August! Now we all know Disney changes there mind every other day so.....

I just did a search on ebay for mickey garter and found 5 different listings. They look really nice, I think I might get one

im not sure if they sell garters, ill have to look this week (were vacationing at akl & having our planning session).

as for the best store for wedding items i would say the art of disney & disneys wonderful world of memories right when you enter dtd marketplace on the right. i bought a few items there last year like a mini wedding plate, cake serving set, wedding frame, candle, some wedding scrapbooking items, etc.

I seem to recall a number of wedding items at the Disney Studios - in the gift shop right there in the front of the park, on Hollywood Blvd, on the right hand side - the one that is attached to the Camera Store. They had a bunch of wedding items, and I think they also did custom embroidery and engraving there, too.
