Do they still sell the mac and cheese in a box that has a foil pouch of creamy sauce?

I tried looking at google and I think I'm only finding the mac and cheese with the powder for sauce.

Where do you buy the one I'm looking for?

Velveeta makes it. As far as I know, it's still available in the grocery stores. It's the only kind I will buy.

Yes. Velvetta. I know the store brand by me is labeled "delux" mac n cheez...I think kraft may also make a version of it.

Step 1: Go to store
Step 2: Look at boxes of mac and cheese
Step 3: Find one that directs to add cheese sauce packet to macaroni
Step 4: If the instructions ask for the addition of milk and margarine/butter than this is not the item you want.
Step 5: Rejoice in your success.

oni and Cheese. Right next to the Kraft Macaroni and Cheese with the powder in the store.

Cracker Barrel now has a version in the grocery stores also where the cheese is in the foil pouch. It's brand new.

we just tried that kind and my kids did not like it they said the cheese had an odd taste to it.

Kraft has a whole bunch sold as "Deluxe", as well as Velveeta Shells and Cheese. I found the Kraft blue box version a bit salty, although they did have some variations including broccoli.

The Velveeta Shells and Cheese was great for backpacking. I put everything in a plastic bag to place in a bear canister. I didn't need any milk or butter.

Kraft owns Velveeta, so its basically the same thing. That said, I do like the cheese pouch version best. Though if you eat a lot consider buying a box of pasta shells and a loaf of velveeta. Same exact process to make it as with the box, but much cheaper to buy the ingredients in bulk separately. And I add milk to it because I like it extra creamy :)

That's how I do it. And now my girls (17 and 20) refuse to eat it out of a box. And to make sure I knew the difference, dd20, says "mac and cheese is out of a box and cheesy noodles you real" :) Add some picante and its the BEST.

BROCCOLI !!!! Just so wrong in Mac & cheese.

If I am going premade I like Velveeta

It wasn't really too bad. The version. What they have now is cheddar broccoli.

My honey would starve without Velveeta Shells and Cheese. He eats it at least once a week. Me not so much but I'll admit to taking a bite or two from the leftovers.

Even better you can now get just the Velveeta cheese pouches from Dollar General. They come in single packs for $1 or a box of 3 for $3. Buy a package of your favorite pasta and it actually comes out quite a bit cheaper than buying 3 boxes of the Velveeta shells and cheese.

This thread has been very educational.
I have seen the Velveeta Mac and Cheese on store shelves. I didn't think anyone actual used anything Velveeta anymore.
My mom used to buy it when I was a kid because it was cheap. While I suspect the Mac and Cheese mix probably is priced similarly to the Kraft Mac and Cheese with the liquid sauce, a one pound brick of Velveeta runs over $6 now, and real cheddar cheese is about $5 a pound.

My honey actually doesn't like real cheddar cheese, he won't eat home made mac and cheese and even buys the velveeta singles for sandwiches and hamburgers instead of the cheddar singles. Me, on the other hand, was raised with home made mac and cheese because we were poor and it was actually cheaper for us to buy a big ole block of cheese and milk and Mama baked it instead of making it on top of the stove.
