Hi there
Just wondering if anyone can tell me if they still sell double strollers at the resort hotels?

A few years ago travelling with grandchildren I noticed they certainly sold single ones - just needing to ask for a friend who doesnt want to take their double cumbersome pushchair with them but would need something around the parks and then again when they move to International Drive for a week

Many thanks in advance

Some places sell single strollers (umbrella strollers) quite expensive and pretty cheap quality. I only saw them once in DHS, but I don't remember any double strollers

did you consider renting ?
We will rent from orlando strollers rental https://www.orlandostrollersrentals.com/Default.aspx
a double city elite for 14 days is $115

they deliver at any disney resort, and you can return it at a different hotel (see their list if your friends hotel is on it)

it might be of a better value than just buying, especially with tall kids. Smaller strollers like the cheapest ones will not be comfortable and big enough for taller kids to take a nap fully reclined

We did buy one from Sears at Florida Mall, for around $80 but DS, who's really short even for a 4 year old, had his legs and feet hanging outside of the stroller when he was lying in it.
here's a pic of DW and DS at Epcot. DS was shorter than 38in at that time, and still you can see that he's too tall for that $80 stroller ...

When we went in January i never saw a double one. One the single ones.

If they are hiring a car might be worth a trip to walmart. I got 2 singles for $15 each in January. But they did have doubles. Or you could buy a clip so you can attach two singles together? Prob get one off ebay cheap.

However, what i would say depending on the age of the kids is, if they nap they may not in a buggy which doesnt recline, have a sun shade etc so although their usual pram may be big at least they'll be used to it.

The number of people i have seen leaning their buggy back on two wheels and trying to push it around the park so that their kids chin doesnt become permanently embedded in their chest.

My eldest gets what we like to call swan neck. her head rolled all over the place if we couldnt recline her.

We may face the same issue when we go back, as we have one of those back pack strollers which definately doesnt recline. Still with 3 of them, we may have to have a rota system for their comfy phil and teds!

Thank you very much for your info - sounds as if hiring is going to be a better option for them.
Thanks once again
