my mom is looking to get some for her grandkids. we were in target today and she asked and the teen working there never even heard of them. I had so much fun with these as a child, I just can't imagine they aren't somewhere...anyone know?

I LOVED these! I'd like to know if they're still out there too! I know I had Sleeping Beauty ones - can't remember which other ones, though.

Yes, they do, but they're mostly character sets, which in my opinion, takes all the fun out of them! My DD got a Dora the Explorer set, but doesn't play with it much. The "weather bear" set does get some use, though. The ones they had years ago were just shapes that you could combine to make pictures....those were really cool! I found a set of those in magnets instead of clings....they came in a metal tin (book sized) with some picture cards to get them started! We use them in the car all the time! :)

Anyway, I think you can get both kinds at a "teacher's store". We have a local chain around here called TAPS (Teachers And Parents Store) but Hammetts is a national one. Most towns have one or two local ones at least....

Yes, they do still make them and they do have them at Target. At our Target they're in the same aisle with the play-doh and Hello Kitty stuff. We have a Little Bear set and they also have a school set and a wild animals set. The last two came in a heavy plastic bag with a handle and instead of one board there were about 3 smaller boards (ex. the school set had a playground scene and 2 different classroom scenes). My kids play with them in the car when we're going on a long trip mostly.

I was going to say that Target is where I usually see them too. Got a Bob the Builder one there for ds when he was younger. :)

You can go to a craft store and buy the paper that shrinks and put anything you want on it.

I loved Colorforms as well. I had the Muppet Movie set, Dukes of Hazzard and the Smurfs. It's so odd but I can still remember the smell of them, they had that strong plastic odor.

I saw them at Target too, in the same aisle the other poster mentioned. I remember seeing a Wiggles set I thought was cute. They were maybe $6??

I had a "Peanuts" set I would play with for hours. It was a winter scene and I would put all the characters (3 Snoopys, 2 woodstocks, etc.) on at the same time and make up all kinds of things for them to do.
