Do they?? They use too. I havent been to Disney in like 10 years and I really want to know!

Shame! We have them all over in NB. Tim's especially, but I can always find a Beavertails around the maritimes in popular places.

In my 40 years as a Canadian I have only seen BTs in two places.

Niagara Falls, and Disney World.

Ummmm - what's a beavertail? I am Canadian, but have no clue what you're talking about.

To see them search for the Beavertails company. It's their trade name. Basically a sort of donut type dough in a long beaver tail shape that have various toppings on them like chocolate, maple, cinnamon sugar etc. Really tasty, even their pizza topped ones.

Beavertails company is a chain of counter restaurants that was mostly Quebec and Ottawa but has expanded eastward as well as into Ontario. There are a few locations now in primarily tourist areas. I believe they now have at least 1 in the west at Whistler and are expanding rapidly there may well be more by now.

I know what they are ... but never saw them at Epcot? :confused3 I must be stunned?

It's been at least 10 years since I can recall seeing Beavertails in Epcot.

They used to have them at Ontario Place, still have them at Blue Mountain and I could swear I once saw a stand at the Toronto Zoo though it's not listed on their site and I haven't been to the Zoo in years.

I've also seen them at the Halifax Waterfront. I didn't know that they were at the Dingle and Point Pleasant Park. Ted, can you confirm or deny this? :coffee:

Here is a link to their locations:http://www.beavertailsinc.com/storelocator.php

Seen the one in Whistler, and they have them at the PNE too. Pacific National Exhibition for all you easterners :good vibes

I think I remember looking up the reason why they left EPCOt and it was something like the original company went bankrupt and sold of most of the locations outside of Ottawa and then ended up selling it to the original owners.

As for the location at the Toronto Zoo they still have it and it's over by the polar bears in the same complex as the Americas stop for the Zoomobile.

Haven't been to the zoo since last year. Haven't had a Beavertail there for probably 2 years. The location is over by the polar bears/Arctic grounds.

From what I remember, there is one around Magnetic hill/magic mountain water park in Moncton NB, and Halifax harbourfront, and then in PEI...Cavendish for sure, I can't recall seeing one in Charlottetown.

They could be compared to a pastry form of a Pretzel Maker treat. I love cinnamon and sugar on my beaver tail as well as my pretzel so they are comparable in that sense. But you can get them with maple butter and chocolate...many toppings. Delish! Make sure you try one if you ever see the kiosk.

The CNE?
Ottawa?

in Fact where I live in Oak Ridges, they had a cart setup at the Oak Ridges Fair last month.

I had one in Fredericton a few weeks ago...yum! There haven't been any in Epcot for several years but they are in lots of tourist locations in Atlantic Canada. Not sure about anywhere else.:confused3

Beavertails are soooo delicious, that's a bummer they're not in Disney (though I guess not necessary with all the other food options they have)

I haven't had one in a while but around here they do have a few places that offer them (I live about half an hour away from Montreal). The main one is La Ronde, the amusement park near Montreal island, where they have probably five or more stands within the place, and now I'm craving one.

Banana and chocolate is one of the best combo I think :thumbsup2 but most of them that I've tasted are delicious. Cinnamon sugar, lemon sugar, reese's piece and chocolate, apple and cinnamon. Nomnomnom

OK people really need to chime in on this one. Beavertails started in the Ottawa market area. The company that originally started them up was called TJ Hookers.

One of the best places to have a Beavertail is while skating on the Rideau canal during Winterfest in Ottawa.
