Do they show the Football playoffs on the ships?

We just got off the Wonder and booked a placeholder. We're considering a Southern Caribbean in January, but my son is football obsessed and wants to know if they'll show the playoffs on the ships. They aren't on ABC/ESPN, so I'm curious if they'll show them if they're on CBS and Fox. Will it be somewhere all ages or only in the bars for adults only?

Thanks!

I have been onboard when they were showing a football game on Funnelvision (the giant screen on the pool deck). I'm not a football person so I don't know exactly which games they show or don't show, but we've only cruised during Christmas vacation so far, so I know it wasn't a Super Bowl game.

Thanks. Christmas time wouldn't be playoffs, so if they show regular season games, that is a good sign they'd show the playoffs.

You might also try checking old Personal Navigators (on Disney Cruise Line Blog) from play-offs season in a prior year, to see if the playoffs have a history of being shown on Funnelvision. I agree that it's likely, but you never know.

It also seems likely that the games would be available on the stateroom TVs.

Great idea. I just checked, and yes, they showed the playoffs on Funnelvision! My son will be happy watching on the big screen there with all the pizza and ice cream he can eat. He'll be 14, and will be able to eat quite a bit, as he did on this cruise. First time I ever heard him say he was full in a long time!

I've been on a DCL cruise during the NFL playoff season and the game was shown on board. If not on funnel vision, then in one of the lounges.

We were on the Fantasy early January 2016 and all the playoffs games were shown somewhere. Funnelvision, O'Gills, and the special channels in the staterooms all showed the playoff games.

I watched this year’s college football championship onboard the Magic, the first half in O’Gill’s Pub and the second half on FunnelVision on deck 9.

Do be aware that playoffs or not, once the clubs enter 18+ hours, anyone under 18 would not be allowed in.
