I know they do at the Disney parks now, but am wondering about these? If so, please explain the procedure for the uninitiated.

Thanks!

Yes, your bags are searched at the Universal parks. Security stands inside the gates and they take a peek into your bag with a stick.

They peek with a stick? Is this like a periscope? Can't quite picture it.

You open your bag and they use a dowel-like stick to move things around in your bag to look. The less you have with you, the easier and quicker it is.

Okay. I understand. And that includes waist/fanny packs also, correct?

Thanks.

Thanks to All! But I hate that we have to do this. I understand it and agree with the necessity, but I wish it weren't necessary.

I am the most innocent person yet I am like a dear in the headlights when those guys with the little sticks look through my purse and I feel guilty ~ like Iv'e done something

Then they give me a big smile and tell me to have a great day... phew.. fooled them again :)

I know what you mean!! Not sure why I feel guilty about lip gloss, hand sanitizer & a bottle of sunblock, but I do! LOL
Now, I always try to pack light knowing that the people behind me want to get into the park TODAY !
