My mom and sis are making a very unexpected trip to Disney on June 11, 2007. The group is four moms and four teenagers! They are willing to eat late- so do they really need ADRs? Seems that most be are getting ADRs to avoid eating dinner at 9:20 at night- but these guys think that is just fine! What are your thoughts?

I just booked a last minute trip today for 5/30-6/5. I was anble to get ADR's but not fo the most popular places. Even late. No CRT, No Chef Mickey's, No Le Cellier and No breakfast at Ohana.

So I guess my answer to your question is...yes.

For a group of eight, it will be a struggle. You should take a look at the less popular places to eat. While you can get a late dinner at some resorts, you can not get a late dinner (9:00PM) at several of the parks. It mostly depends on park closing times, which dictate the restraurant closing time. The food courts have some good offerings for dinner.

I agree with the others - if it were just 2 people, I think you may be OK but with 8 they definitely should make ADRs. As many have said, the park restaurants (such as Epcot) probably won't take ADRs much beyond 9 anyway so they may struggle to eat that late int he parks (for TS).

I would suggest as the PP did, that they look to get into some of the less popular/bigger places for meals and prepare to be flexible with times :)

With that size of a party you will need ADR's. Maybe lunch would work better, especially if you can eat at some of the resort resturants they are generally not too busy at lunch time.
My DH and I are going June 11-15 and had much better luck with lunch ADR's, we booked them about a month ago. We will have CS dinners.

If your wanting dinner ADR's maybe splitting the group into 2 tables of 4 will work better.
