Do they normally send a magnet!?

When we booked our last trip (May 2015) we got a magnet in the mail. It had Dumbo on it, and gave the exact date we could make ADRs and FP+.

Is this something they always do? I keep wondering if I will get the magnet again, and when! I know I can book ADRs at the end of October so I assume if they are sending the magnet, it will be soon!?

My friend also got the magnet for her February trip, I'm hoping we get one too for our trip next year, I love magnets and it's a cute countdown!

I didn't get one but I'm an AP holder so we don't always get the little come see us incentives others do.

Do you remember how far ahead of the trip you got the booklet with dates? I was looking forward to the magnet, but at least that would give me the exact dates for booking everything!

It is sad that the magnet isn't a regular thing everyone gets

When we went last year in September we did get receive the dumbo magnet. But for our trip this September we did not get it I liked having it on my fridge.

Depends on where you travel from. We don't get anything until approximately 3 week before departure date.

In our incredibles box we got a little booklet with the last page being a tear out page w/ pic of Dumbo and significant dates (ADR date, FP date etc).

How far out before your trip did you get the booklet?

I've been going to WDW for decades, and as far as I know, the magnets that came as part of the booklet for resort guests were a very recent thing that only started after FP plus came out. So it was likely just a short term gimmick.

We got one for our Feb 15 trip, but the booklet also had the date reminders on the last page. I can't remember how far in advance, but it was well before 60 days.

But you don't need the booklet for your dates. You should get reminders on your MDE account.
