I want to eat here so badly. I have eaten here in the past, but not with my DH. He isnt big into interaction with CM while eating, yet I want to eat here.

Do they back off if they get the vibe you just want to eat? Or not so much? Wondering if it's a bad choice if they will want to interact ALOT with us when DD is shy and DH isn't a fan of too much interaction like that.

The only two times we have been there we have had absolutely no interaction different than any waiter at another restaurant. I actually wanted the experience that I've heard others have but it didn't happen with us. It really depends on your server but I think you can request a low-key server when you come for your reservation.

We have eaten here a couple of times and Im not so into the interaction either. The first time, they did a little teasing, nothin major we were a large goup and she backed off once she upset a child. (he upsets easily)

The other times they didnt do much, I think they are wonderful at catching the vibe. If you are worried about it, let them know when you check-in for dinner.

We have eaten there and yes, the server "played" with us quite a bit. Things like, "Get your elbows off the table!" and when my sister in law asked if pizza was a children's option, our server said, "No! Your mother doesn't work here."
At first I was put off... but as time went on, I enjoyed it. It all depends on your server. I suspect if you ask them to tone it down, they will. The food is down home comfort food, and fits the part.

We have ate there a few times and it can be mild or all the way... last time we were there I didn't finish my meal and the waitress picked up my fork and feed me "'here comes the cho cho train" I did get embarrassed, put went along everyone enjoyed the show. If you don't want any of the interaction just mention it when being seated. I'm sure you'll be ok.

Too funny. I bet every server at WDW thinks that, when someone asks for substitutions or something special. They just can't say it. There's nothing like getting paid to speak your mind. :rotfl:

Like others have said, they are good at figuring out how much you are into it. We went with friends of ours who had never been & didn't tell them anything. They were at first horrified that the waitress threw the straws at us & told us to set the table. By the end of the meal they were having a ball & "Mom" ending up taking some cell phones because they wouldn't put them away & she texted to them to "not to have cell phones at the dinner table!" :lmao:

They might have a little fun like throw straws at you, but they don't usually do anything too crazy unless you egg them on. DH had to once put a sugar packet against the wall with his nose because he refused to take his elbows off the table. He knew he would get in "trouble" and the kids loved it! It's all in good fun & when you see the whole restaurant laughing & having a ball, it's hard not to get into the fun. ;)

The very first time we went there our server was a hoot. We loved every minute. The next two times we went the servers were quite boring and it wasn't nearly as fun. The food was okay but it wasn't good enough to go back without the fun experience.

This is one of our absolute favorite restaurants. I've eaten here like 9 times, and the food and interaction has always been awesome, except for 1 time.. That time the food was still good but the server I think was kinda new...Up until this past Nov. I always had trouble making the decision on what to eat. Well they added a combo plate that solves my dilemma. It has the scrumptous fried chicken, delectable meat loaf, & the stick to your stomach pot roast...All fan Favs... Have fun & just book it, You'll have a blast..>Good Luck.

I couldn't wait to eat here with just myself (MOM) and DS19 Graduation Celebration....

I LOVED The pot roast ! the only change I would have asked for...

I wished we had MORE interaction from the waitress... she really didnt do anything?

I suppose she thought.... (Mom and Teenage son...they don't want any crazy interaction)....

So I did try to beg a little for it... and got a little...

Let your waitress know what you expect.... and have a magical visit !

We ate here for dinner on our trip a couple weeks ago. Both myself and my BF are very shy people and don't like attention. We initially did get a little teasing from our waitress in the beginning, but she stopped after we obviously got a little embarrassed. Overall we loved it and hope to go back someday!

We've eaten here about 8 times... and nope, not a single time has our server ever messed with us. Really, do we look like grumps that much that we dont' want interaction or something? My girls have tried to get server's attention, putting elbows on table, etc... nope, nothing.
and in the times we've been there, only maybe 2 or 3 times have really seen tables having fun with their servers. Usually, we get a slow and grumpy server and very poor service.

but love the food - eating here twice our next trip - crossing fingers for finally some antics!

No :sad2: We've been twice, both times we got really boring waitresses. The second time we even asked to get one that would interact a lot, but she did nothing. Food isn't great either, so we haven't been back.

DH and I eat here every trip and we have had interactive servers and non-interactive servers. When we have a dud, we can usually enjoy a table near us getting the "treatment", so all is not lost. The food is great...especially the pot roast! And as others have said, I think they're good at reading the "vibe" of their guests and ease off if needed. Go and enjoy!
