At Castaway Way, do the following "Excusions" have to be resered or we can just go and have the rental done right at the beach?

1. Bicycle Rental
2. Float/Tube Rentals
3. Snorkel Lagoon Equipment Rental (All day)

Thanks.

Bicycle rentals -- I don't know

Tubes and floats -- They have PLENTY, wait til you're there

Snorkeling equipment -- Is bringing your own an option? You can buy a set for the same price as renting, plus you get to avoid the "ick, it's been in a stranger's mouth" factor.

We were thinking to buy one but it costs $ 70! So, we are going to rent one.

Does anyone know if they have to br pre-booked?

If you belong to Costco they have US Diver adult snorkel sets for $34 and Kids for $25.

We had no trouble getting snorkel equipment and we arrived at the beach later in the morning.

That was three years ago but it probably hasn't changed since then.

Have fun!

you dont need to prebook any of those excrusions at CC. the other excrusions on the otherhand you will cause they fill up fast. make sure to make your ressies at 60 days out for your cruise date

$70 ??? !!!! ??? !!! No way. We bought ours at Bass Pro Shop /Outdoor World, and they were in the $30 range. This was a mid-range set -- they had some that were more and some that were less. I'd suggest looking around a bit.

snorkeling equipment at CC is $25 for adults and $10 for kids

So, does it mean that we can get that right at the beach? How do we pay? Using the KTTW?

Sounds to me like you'd be better off booking the package, as I think that is exactly what it includes. I don't know the price offhand, but it will be in the info. you receive from Disney and you can pre-book it at that time. They do limit the number of packages, so if you go that route, book it ahead.
If you buy snorkel gear, all you really need is the mask (fins only if you want them). If you have that, Disney will provide the vest for free.

I agree with Barb about booking the package.....my only suggestion is.....I booked the package for my whole family but we rarely used our snorkeling equipment all at the same time, so it was more economical to just rent a few floats and snorkeling equipment which we all shared at different times. The bikes are plentiful and you should have no problem renting those.

Most of the time, bikes, snorkel equipment, and floats are available at the beach without advanced rental. However, I also was able to purchase snorkel equipment for only a few dollars more than the cost of a single rental, and have used it many times.

Later in the day, there are tons of floats on the beach and/or people returning them who will gladly give them to you rather than go to the trouble of returning them. Sopme people seem to just abandon them and let the staff deal with them! Booking the package saves you a couple dollars off the individual rentals.

I would rather renting them right at the beach. But then how do I pay?
