Do the theme parks get "full" and the gates close?

Hi Disney Friends,

I have been told by my travel agent here in England that the water parks will close their gates if they reach a certain number of visitors. Is this right? Does it only apply to the water parks? She said it's best to get there in the morning as they can get full by lunchtime.

Many thanks in anticipation.

I would take your travel agents advice. It can get very crowded when the weather is nice. Either get there early or after 3. That seems to be when a lot of people leave.

Yes, the water parks will close if they fill up. Get there right at opening and you'll be fine.

As for the gates closing it can and does happen at all the parks (MK, MGM, EPCOT, and AK). It's not a regular occurrance and usually only happens during very, very busy times. Usually right around Christmas, Easter, and 4th of July. Not something you have to really worry too much about the rest of the year.

Hi to another UK DisBoarder

We were in WDW Christmas 2002. MK closed at about 11am but re-opened around 3pm on Christmas Day. never had a problem with any other day or any other park

Water parks are a little different. We found it was best to get there either early or after 3pm as some one said a little earlier

Enjoy your three weeks.

We are going in about another 2 weeks for 2 weeks - can't come soon enough
