or do mostly the go with their familes?

We have a 13 y/o and 5 y/o twings. Generally, we spilt up and manage the family that way, but dh is curious, do theTEEN get together and do stuff off the boat as well? I am not comfortable allowing my teen to go herself on an excursion yet.

Thanks

Yes, there are teen only excursions which are suppervised my the Teen Counselors. Our DD, who was 15 at the time, went on the Sunset Cruise in Cozomel and had a blast. The teens appear to be well suppervised offboard the ship.

On CC, there is a Teen Wildside. They meet at the Stack around 9, eat breakfast, go biking, snorkeling and kayaking together. I think they eat lunch in there too.

When they are finished, they can join you.

DS-13 really enjoyed it. And safety-wise off the ship, this is a great one to give them a little freedom because it is not like they can get lost or stuck or left behind! You can also see them if you are at the snorkeling end of the beach.

DD loved the Wild Side at Castaway--biking, snorkeling, kayaking, and generally having fun. That runs from 9-1, then they sometimes choose to have lunch as a group (of course, you can always arrange to meet as a family.) There is a teen beach area on Castaway where they hang out, but that is unsupervised (you can go there too, but no little people).

There is the Cozumel catamaran cruise...when we sailed, only 3 teens did this. They almost cancelled it for lack of participation. DD said it was "just ok." These are the only 2 teen excursions that I know of. There are teen activities scheduled on board, and they can continue to hang out in the Stack on port days.

Teens can go on other excursions without a parent--they need the permission slip to leave the ship alone. I wouldn't send a young teen on a "family" appropriate excursion alone, but might consider it for an older teen. We also had an invitation from a family DD met on the ship that DD could go with their teen and family on an excursion--we declined, but I'd certainly consider that.....
