I'm not exactly a cab girl... but I think for it'll me much easier to get to our breakfasts in the morning with one. I should have thought of this more than 24 hours before leaving, but I didn't?

Should I bring cash? Do they take cards? What do you normally tip? (not looking to open a can of worms, I seriously don't know!)

Also if anyone has a clue what the fare would be from AKV-Kidani to the Poly and/or the Beach Club that would be great!!!

Thanks!

It would be a good idea to have cash just in case.

Most cabs officially take credit cards but once in awhile the driver says he can't get the credit card to work.

All credit card companies say in the contract of carriage , er, whatever the fine print is called, that they are not responsible if a merchant or vendor refuses to accept the card.

Despite that, there are some stories where either or both the rider and the driver have gotten into an argument over that.

By the way you should have enough cash to pay the restaurant tab, prior to walking in, although I don't know where to draw the line about how much cash to set out with in the morning in the rare event that everyone declines your card.

Estimated taxi fares

AKV-Kidani to Poly (8 miles) $20-$23 plus tip, time approx 15-20 minutes

AKV-Kidani to BC (5.5 miles) $14-$17 plus tip, time approx 10-15 minutes

tipping 10-20%

Enjoy your trip, and breakfasts
