If we are not lucky enough to get a patio room, I'm wondering if there is a screen on the sliding windows/doors. Can we open(??) the sliding doors to get fresh air and/or look out?
I am not sure about CR but for the Poly, you can not (their 2nd floors have all the windows but no actual balconies or sliders) - I switched to a 3rd fl because of this. Seemed too confined.

They do slide open, I know this because Michael Flatley stayed above us and I could hear them all night long (not the real Michael Flatley, just someone who thought they were him..moved rooms next night)
They do open but there are no screens. If you open them for a few minutes there should not be a problem, but don't leave them open to long or the bugs will find their way in!
We stayed on the lower level of the North Wing in March. We had a sliding glass door that opened up onto the patio. There was also a screen door. The upper floors in the wings don't have balconies, so I would recommend the ground level. We had a couple of chairs, a table, and some very nice landscaping. There was a little beach down on the other side of the grassy area
