Do the Refillable mugs stay the same each year?

We were at the Contemporary a few years back and bought the refillable mugs. My question is, do the mugs remain the same from year to year? Can we use these mugs that say Contemporary on them or do we need to purchase new ones this year?

The official word is that your mug is good for the length of stay at the resort in which you purchased your mug.

Yes, they change, yes people bring them back regardless, yes some were told they are good forever, and some were even told at any resort. Yes, Disney seems to not care if you bring them back forever. However, the official word is that your mug is good for the length of stay in which you purchased your mug.

Now, be prepared for a lot of responses..some people think it doesn't matter what you were told and you should follow the rules as they are set up now, some people bring them back forever, since they were told they could, and some just really don't give a darn...figure it's up to Disney to decide when and if they want to enforce it. I'm in the last camp, and I bring mine back. Looking forward to the second thing I do, when I get there, filling my Dixie Landing mug at POR. The first thing will be checking with the food court manager to make sure it's still OK.

To answer your question in the simplest way I know --

I don't know of any resort that changes its refillable mug each year. The designs seem to stay the same at least for a few years.

All I know is 2003 & 2004 ASMo cup was the same. This year I am going to POP and need to get new cups.

Although my mug says good for length of stay, the CM at the checkout told me my mug would be good every time I visited Disney again, as long as I was at an All-Star resort. This was the persuading factor that caused us to purchase the mugs. Don't plan on ever staying there again (went during Pop Warner week), but if I did I'd use the mugs again, since I purchased them for that purpose.

We went Dec 2003, and as of Dec 2004 the mugs were the same.

Oh, goody! I usually have to go to the resort board for my fun, and here it is on the good old budget board! Then again, maybe some of those resort people don't even know that the budget board is here. Concierge and budget, don't really seem to go hand in hand, do they?

FWIW, listen to Doris. She has a good head on her shoulder. I've reused my refillable mugs many a time, and I don't care what anyone else does.
