Do the other princesses come to tables at CRT?

We've done Akershus before and are thinking of trying to get CRT--do the other princesses come around to the tables for lunch? DD is most excited about seeing all of the princesses, so I know she'd be happy with Akershus, but if we could get into CRT, that would be great--provided she'd see everyone--what has your experience been? Thanks!

Yes, there will be other princesses at lunch. We have seen Belle, Snow White, Aurora and while not a princess, the Fairy Godmother :>

I have read that Jasmine has been there at times as well.

is essentially the same. Cinderella is downstairs where you enter the castle. You'll most likely have to wait in a line to have your family's picture taken with her. Once you're done with that they'll guide you upstairs to your table. There will be four princesses and/or leading ladies. As for leading ladies, we had the FG one trip and Mary Poppins and Alice on another. This past trip we had four princesses (Aurora, Ariel, Belle in blue dress and Jasmine). During your meal the picture package is delivered to your table.

We've never had an issue with a character skipping our table. Once or twice we had someone verify that we had met all of them during the latter part of our meal.

This is true for breakfast and lunch only.
At dinner Cinderella is in the lobby for pictures. Upstairs in the dining room the Fairy Godmother and the mice do a little show and circulate the room quickly. They do not sign autographs nor pose for pictures.

Do you like it as much as Akershus? I may not even be able to get res for CRT, but if I do, I'd like it to have as much character interaction. I'm trying to get a sense of how different it is, apart from it being in the castle. If I can get res, are there any particular areas that are better to sit in than others? We'l be on DDP and one night we can't use a TS, so we'll have the extra credit, just trying to decide if this is worth it over Akershus. THanks! Oh, we do have DD5 who is probably at the prime age, and DS8 who will probably not be thrilled!

I've never done CRT either, but have it booked 2x for our upcoming trip (a dinner and a lunch). From what I've read I would try for breakfast or lunch so you get the character interaction you want. We did Akershus last trip (2006) and my DS who was 4 at the time LOVED it. The princesses doted on him and he left with two lipstick kisses, one on each cheek, from Ariel and Mulan. He ate it up with a spoon. Your DD, as you said, will LOVE it. I think the castle is nice for location...you are IN the castle. If you are mainly concerned with interaction I'd probably do Akershus and save the extra dining credit per person. Sorry I can't help you with your other questions as we are newbies to CRT too. I hope you have a wonderful vacation. Oh -- not to throw another curveball in...but there is also the Cinderella's Happily Ever Dance at 1900 Park Fare in GF too. I've never done that one either but it sounded neat. Some people have said the food is yuck and others say it's okay. Just another thought if you think your DD will really want to see Cindy and you can't get a ressie at CRT.

We've done breakfast at both-mostly at CRT though. The Norway breakfast has a little more variety. But, there's something special about dining in the castle. We were on free dining last trip, but we paid OOP. It just wasn't worth using two TS credits for the breakfast.

I've done both and IMO - the best thing about the castle was my DD's face when we got to go inside. The food was pre-plated and re-heated (definitely not worth the money food-wise) and to top it off...Cinderella wasn't even there!!! We got Wendy and Peter Pan. Boy, were we upset! But Disney reserves the right to change the characters at the last minute. Still, this was a long time ago and they seem to ensure that now you at least see A PRINCESS, even if it's not Cindy herself, but I've never been able to bring myself to pay that much money again - it was such a huge disappointment.

We did the Princess dinner at 1900 Park Faire on our last few trips and found that worked well for us. I got pictures of DD # 3 on our last trip with Cinderella, the Prince, the girl Mice, and the Fairy Godmother - they were so good I framed them for her Cinderella-themed bedroom. The character interaction was much better than at the castle - everyone came over to table. The food was a buffet and while maybe not stellar...at least you had more of a choice.

I've never done Askerhus so I can't make any comparisons about that but for sheer ambiance, nothing beats the castle.

We have done both for breakfast and like both. We actually have Akershus, CRT, and Cinderella's gala feast at 1900 Park Faire booked for our upcoming trip :goodvibes
I think as far as character interaction it seems the princesses at Akershush spend a little more time and are a little less rushed. However, eating in the castle is just a :cloud9: for the little girls, especially at your daughter's age, and my two girls really loved the wishing ceremony they do at CRT and they still play with their magic wands they got at the breakfast. Soo, I agree with others who have said that there is something magical about actually eating in the castle but for princesses you really can't go wrong with either one.

Good luck!

For the person thinking of taking their DS8 with them to the castle. Don't waste your 2 credits. If you can have ? your husband take him somewhere else. We took our sons to 1900 Parc Fare with our daughter to see cinderella. They were not happy. They are 9 and 7. We would have all been happier if my husband had taken the boys somewhere else for dinner. Next year that is what we are planning to do.

I had planned on only going to CRT 1x with my DD for lunch after her BBB appointment. Then while looking for a early dinner option for our MNSSHP I ran into a 4:20PM available at CRT. I thought long and hard about it and finally decided it would be neat with the kids all dressed up for MNSSHP to dine there. I don't know how my DS7 will feel. I think at first he'll be excited to be eating in the castle, but once that wears off hopefully there will be other stuff for him to look at and enjoy.
