Do the on-site hotels go up or down in price

as the dates get closer? We are going the beg. of March and have been carefully watching the on-site prices, hoping that they will come down! It still amazes me about how much the prices fluctuate depending on the day and time you check (could be $1000 difference which is crazy!!)! We are booked at Park View and can't justify spending double the price at the Disney Resorts, especially since we basically just sleep there. The price was typically $1300 for 3 night when we first started planning and now is around $1100 (but have seen it once or twice a week at $2300+). Since the price has dropped $200 this month, I am wondering if the price typically drops or goes up as the date get closer. What have you noticed the trend is?

It'll depend on how much availability. If they have a lot of rooms available, they may lower the prices to fill them. Or raise if they are almost completely booked up. I've seen some weird things with pricing including a concierge room at PPH that was cheaper than a standard room....most likely because they hadn't booked very many concierge rooms.

If you book and it goes down, they give you the cheaper price, IF you call and tell them! I always try to book it when I see the best price, but most times, it does go down!!!

Mainly up - but sometimes down. When they go down, it is frequently a length of stay/and or ticket package offer.
