Do the disboards keep you from getting anything done in your house?:confused3 Once I plan my disney trip I head straight to the boards to get ideas, get me in the mood etc. but then I get nothing else done because this is me:surfweb: I'm obessed:banana: The one good thing is I don't usually book a trip any further than 3 months away.:rotfl: If I did I would never get anything done! My dh has learned to accept it! He just laughs when comes home and I'm the computer. He says "you on the boards?" "Have learned anything you didn't already know?" and I reply "YES" and then I tell him all my new info;) He doesn't mind because all of our trips have been well under budget, well organized, and we have never stood in line for than 15 min, and I always know where he can get a beer in the parks and how much it will cost :lmao: (Except MK he just has one extra the next day to make up for it!)

I really have the same illness!:rotfl: My problem is that I plan trips 18-24 months in advance, the make many changes (in my head!) untill I'm able to book the trip at 18 months out! My family just tolerates it because the trips go so well. I'm sure there is a medical diagnosis for the Disneyenthusiasm!

I'm guilty as well. :guilty: Plus, we almost always have a trip planned, so I'm almost always on the Dis. There have been days where the housework went undone or we have had breakfast for dinner. There was also the day my youngest colored the kitchen cabinets with a blue crayon :scared1:, but our trips are always well-planned out and we get all of the ADR's we want.

Yes today I looked over at my dd who had a pudding cup and eating it! Not quite sure how she got out the fridge, took the top off, and had a spoon:confused3

I've been away for a while :sad2: It was too hard to be on here when I knew we couldn't even think about booking a trip. But I am now determined to get our butts back to Disney!! So, yep, the laundry is what is being neglected in my house while I am disboarding!! :laundy:

I am so guilty! I have to put a timer on in the kitchen. This way I have to get up and turn it off and go something else for awhile. :surfweb:

Oh, thank you for this post. Now I know that there is nothing wrong with me, and if there is there will be a huge support group to help me through it. :)

Husband has also learned to accept that this is my "illness". He may not always agree with it as he tries to tell me something or sees the kids destroy some part of the house, but he always enjoys the relaxing vacation when it finally arrives and he's not a big "Mickey" fan.

Hope everyone continues with their addiction so we can continue to plan the perfect vacations!!

:sad2: I'm not even planning a vacation!!!

Same here!

I was on it a lot more leading up to our Summer 2009 vacation. Unfortunately, it will be several years (3 or more) before we can go back.

But here I am on the DIS. I just love the community connections here and I have learned lots about other things that help in my everyday life.

I am SOOOO guilty!! To the point that I stay up REALLY late because I can DIS in the quiet!! :lmao: Laundry is severely neglected here as well...

For me it was our Christmas Trip. I so agree with what I bolded.

I don't know when we'll be going back. I'm trying to talk DH into taking a DCL cruise next year. It will depend on if we can get a good deal on one. :goodvibes

Same here. My 5 year old DD asks why I am on the Disney computer! I am thinking it may be time for an intervention :rotfl2:

What am I to do when we get back from our trip????

Well I planned the last trip for about 3 years on and off til I caved and booked. This next time will be going in Nov of 2011 and I am told I cant talk nonstop about it anymore, he says can I talk about something not having to do with a Disney park or resort. So I start to tell him about someone and he will say who is that? I just look at him like HUH? And say its a Diser...
So this is my refuge. Plus I am trying to surprise my kids and I know that I will now because it is no shock for them to see me reading TRs...LOL
My hubby says I am weird for reading about peoples families who I dont know. I said "They WANT me to, thats why they write them..duh..."

But I am left wondering....how on earth is that weird??? [:confused3

Today I decided I was going to crack down and do some cleaning and dusting...you can obviously see how that is going :surfweb:...LOL:rolleyes1

Ugh, tell me about it! I am supposed to be writing a thesis on this computer but when I need a break I come on the Disboards. Unfortunately I tend to completely lose track of time and get a lot less work done than I should. Thank heavens I have a very easygoing supervisor.

Don't get me started about the mess in the house :upsidedow.

My DH is every bit as obsessed about Disney as I am. If I'm not DISsing, I'm doing something else related to Disney and he's right there with me. He and I were talking this morning saying if we did not have Disney to be so crazy about (besides our kids, of course), what would we do??? We just LOVE it. If we are not planning for an upcoming vacation, then we are reminiscing about an old vacation. We are hooked and I'm so glad that we both are! I just wish I had a lot more money so I could share the magic with more people!
