Hey all, brand new proud AP owner as of last month. Do they switch up the discounts for dining with the APs on a yearly basis, or are the current 10% off locations the same for years and years?

They are pretty much static 10% for Disney owned. It does change occasionally like this past year with giving us 20% (which I hope they continue). The non-Disney owned have changed. It's always best to ask at every location QS or TS cause discounts can be added or taken away at anytime.
If you are a Disney Visa holder or DVC member, ask if they take any of these cause sometimes they take one and not the others and sometimes the discount varies by card.

For WDW it doesn't change. They don't even scan the pass, just physically look at it. In theory they are also supposed to check your ID and payment name (credit card), but I found it was 50/50 if that actually occurred during our visit.

For Disneyland, however, there are changes of 5-10% depending on the pass level. And they will scan your pass as well as check ID and credit card names thoroughly.

Edit: Sorry, thought you were asking about the level of AP (gold, platinum, etc)!
