Do the crowds really bother you?

I can live with the crowds and I can live with the heat - Just not at the same time! :)

AMEN !! We went July 5 three years ago, and it was horrible. :furious: We said never again at that time. So, last year we went the week after Thanksgiving, and it was wonderful. We have a trip planned for March 16. It may be crowded, but at least we won't have the heat with it. The combination is about more than my nerves can take! :Pinkbounc

I think the late Aug crowd levels will depend a great deal on if Free Dining is offered next year. It is already being offered to UK guests begining Aug 12, 2007.

Tha's what I was afraid of too!

Oh No!! Mary - tell me it is not so!! Our first time was end of June through first week of July and I thought I was going to stick a fork in my eye!! It was sooooooo hot and so very crowded! We really can not go any other time except summer so we made our ressies for end of August 07 - hoping that it would NOT be crowded!! I mean I knew it would not be deserted but I had hoped the crowds would decrease somewhat. Oh no, oh no! :sad2:

Well, when we went in Aug, it was in 1992 BEFORE Fastpasses were around. It really was a nightmare. Some of the rides were over an hour for the wait. So, the trip consisted of dragging our sweaty bodies (along with 1000's of others) to the next attraction to just stand in line in the heat for another hour. It was just awful.

Now that I'm a Dis-expert (lol), I can go when it's hot (still won't go in the summer because of the crowds), and I know what to do. :thumbsup2

In the summer, it's not so much the crowds...it's the stinky, sweaty bodies that I inevitably get stuck behind in line:sad: .

Just a vent but, during last trip family kept track each time we waited in stand-by line...every single time, some fool left gas:crazy2: . (When your momma told you to share, don't think this is what she had in mind).

Actually I kind of like that I'm going during a time when the parks close early... It allows me to explore other things (like the boardwalk, PI, and other nightime activities) that I might otherwise miss because I wouldn't want to leave the parks. As it is I have wall to wall days of getting up around 7 and not being in bed till at least midnight - and I still couldn't fit in everything I wanted to do here - thank goodness the parks close early.

I agree.

I feel the same way about the people who go during slow times and then complain about the parks closing early, not being able to see Spectromagic each night, and being down for rehabs.

There are pro and cons to each season.

When we went in July 04 (peak time) the crowds or the heat didn't bother us because it was our first time with the girls, and first time for us in 9 year or so. We were so excited about just being there we didn't care at all. Fast foward next July, we were miserable the whole trip. The girls complained, we were complaining, that is when we decided never again in July. We live to close to go during peak times, and we schedule it around short trips and right before summer. We have had so much fun on our short trips with low crowds.

The crowds and the heat don t bother me that much until the two mix and some of the crowd becomes so foul smelling you can t stand near them.I Know heat will cause persperation and odor but if you have a big problem with it bring some deoderant and if it gets that bad head back to the room for a cool shower.
