Do the characters vary between each sailing?

I was looking a recent navigator that someone posted from Dream and was curious is the charaters change from sailing to sailing? My daughter LOVES Ariel and I was curious if there was a chance that she may be on the ship.

let's hope so! that's my daughters favorite!! i am pretty sure all the classic princesses are usually on board.

There can be some variations, depending on whether a character is on vacation or has other obligations :rolleyes1

We've only seen Ariel (post becoming human) once on our Wonder Hawaii cruise. That is as an approachable character, she's in a few of the shows onboard.

Ariel was on the Fantasy a couple months after our cruise, but not on with us in September. We had Jasmine, Tiana, Cinderella, Belle, and Rapunzel. Honestly, Jasmine is a bit out of place. Out of all the princesses on a CRUISE, Ariel should just be a given. My girls were totally happy but would have loved to have Ariel.

They do change out actors all the time. We have had different actors for the plays. Some are not meant for close up interaction with the guests others just for the stage. Our Buzz also played a pirate on Pirate night. They always have Ariel, Cinderella, Tiana, Aurora, Snow White, sometimes Prince Ali from Aladdin, sometimes Wendy and Peter Pan. Rupunzel was in the stage show but not at the meets. And now on the Wonder they have the Frozen characters. We had the same Jack Sparrow two out of the three cruises but he gets breaks too. He has a meet and greet on Castaway and by the theater on Pirate night. They also have the characters come to the kids clubs. The Army men for instance from Toy Story are only at Boot Camp in the club on the Dream.

No face characters are guaranteed. As noted before, if they don't feel well they will not interact with guests. Aurora never made a M&G appearance on our 15-night PC repo. I always keep up with the PALS line at night for the next day and double checked the navigators & asked the character manager at one point. That was the only princess DD didn't get a picture with wearing her matching costume that cruise. Ariel didn't start making appearances onboard until just a few years ago. The kids were always told by the CMs that if they looked out of the porthole they might see her swimming along side the ship. That is the only reason I stood in line with DD over an hour at MK to meet her there since it wasn't an option on the cruise.

Ariel was on the wonder in November (along with Tiana, Cindy, Rapunzel, Belle, Elsa and Anna) but i was just on the magic last week and no sign of her. We did see Cindy, Tiana, Belle, Elsa and Anna. Don't think we saw rapunzel this time either.
