Do the characters really hug you ??

Dillon GROWLED at Pluto !

...:rotfl2:

Lola (our Shih Tzu) just looked sideways at Pluto with a "what is this?!?!" expression. Her face is forward, but her eyes are looking so much to the side; I've never seen so much white.

Yep, I've gotten hugs from almost all of them, except a few of the Villians. They act snotty and rude to stay in charecter and its just as great. Jafar was a hoot, twirling his beard and shaking his finger at me b/c I had Alladin, Genie, and Abu's autographs. I tried to get him to sign next to Genie but he wasn't having any part of it and he flat out refused. It was one of my favorite Disney moments.

But Capt'n Hook will hug, he's my fav! :lovestruc

Marie was a delight. She would rub her face against us, and the little girl ahead of us had something dangling from her pen. Marie was very taken by it and couldn't stop batting at it ;)

That's adorable! :) I have been looking for Marie the past three visits to WDW, and I still haven't seen her!

Am I the only one crying at the photos of the kids hugging the characters????? (I really hope my boss doesn't walk in!)

That's adorable! :) I have been looking for Marie the past three visits to WDW, and I still haven't seen her!

I was surprised to see her both days we were at Epcot. I didn't have time to wait in line the first day, so I was thrilled to see her the second (but I missed out on tons of other characters who seemed to have disappeared on Day 2. Ah, well... ) I mentioned to the CM that was "minding" her that I was surprised to see Marie at all. She told me that,"Oh, she's out all the time!" Who knew? :confused3

France seemed to be character central at Epcot. We saw Marie, Belle, The Beast, and Aurora, all at the same time in different places.

Yes....
DD and Lilo have done the hula together
she also showed stitch her surfing moves and he "surfed" right along with her.
Stitch also made a fuss over fiance's jersey (it was a stitch jersey we got in Disney the year before). I REALLY would love for fiance to do a stitch voice in front of stitch, as he sounds just like him, but he won't, i'd like to see stitch's reaction.
Marie commented on DD's dress, making motions for her to spin.
Snow white asked DD to "pose like a princess" that was a really cute pic! (it was @ WoD in NYC though).
here's some pics from our vacations passed:

Sorry, I went down memory lane, makes me even more excited for our next trip!!!!! :)

I get very teary eyed when i see the pictures and read about peoples experiences. I'm a big baby with stuff like that. I love Disney because of the magic. :D

My DGF (still testing Disney Girlfriend. Should I keep using it? haha) and I saw Chip and Dale last visit. One of them kissed my girlfriend's hand...and I said "Hey hey, don't get fresh, Mr. Rescue Ranger" and he put up his fists like he wanted to fight.

Also...Minnie seemed excited to hold my arm...and pet me.

The characters most definitely interact with you and hug you even if you're an adult without kids. I just got a big hug from Dug (Up) a couple weeks ago, and you can see in my avatar that Bolt loved it when I brought my little Bolt doll. He and Rhino were fighting over it till Mittens broke them up. On that same visit, Mrs. Incredible made it clear to Mr. Incredible that she wanted to puppy like Bolt for Christmas (it was in Dec.). Pluto once stole and donned by monorail hat at Garden Grill, while at Chef Mickey's Goofy once noticed my list of dining ressies and sharing his opinons. You can have a real blast with them.

That reminds me of when I brought one of those baby Pluto dolls to, I think it was LTT, Pluto came to our table and cradled it as though it were real. Then he licked my head!!!!! :goodvibes :lmao:

Pluto has always been my favorite character, though Stitch is right up there with him!!! :goodvibes

Aw, yes, the hugs from the characters are the best part!! My DD absolutely loves big squishy character hugs. I'm usually kinda reserved about hugging them myself, but I usually have 2 or 3 that I need to give a hug to, too. So far, the Beast has eluded me. But when I finally see him, yes, he will be getting a BIG sqeeze from me. Eeyore usually gets one, too. ;)

My DS4 kept telling us he was going to kiss Lilo.....right up until she got to the table! Then he went shy on us. His face in this pic, however, was hilarious!

DS2, on the other hand, went right after her!! He's definitely not my shy one....girls look out!

I couldn't give the Beast a hug because I was so in awe of how BIG he is! It was a little intimidating! But he was, of course,a perfect gentleman :goodvibes

Most characters will give you big hugs! It's not weird at all. I'm sure the CMs are told that this will happen ;)

But here's some proof:

Some of our best Disney memories were from "character interactions", and we still talk about them to this day.

Once, Genie got a bit, um, overly friendly/touchy with me, and apparently it was a bit shocking to both the handler and photopass photographer, along with everyone standing in line. Alladin and Princess Jasmin really razzed him for it, and it was just an overall bizarre experience but one we still laugh about.

Stitch was never a particularly favorite character of ours until our last trip. My DD10 didn't have any Stitch pins and he got mad. So she pulled out her Stitch Yoda figurine to show him and he tried taking it from her. He even chased her down when we walked away, making for a funny experience and great pictures. After that, he became one of our favorite characters.

The first time I "met" Jiminy Cricket I was like a starstruck groupie. I was nervous, blushing, sweating, the whole 9 yards. I couldn't believe I was meeting a childhood hero! Meeting Tink was a similar experience.

I have so many more great character interation memories and I'm 39 years old. I love that Disney allows me to be a big kid!!! :woohoo:

Love the stories. It's all about having fun at WDW and the characters can be a big part of that if you let them.

I am a big guy and am taller/bigger than most of the characters and have been hugged, poked, etc by many, many a charater and it makes for great memories and lots of fun.

I am 6'4" and even got a flying kiss from Mulan at Epcot that was maybe 5'5". She just jumped up and just layed one on me.

absoultly they do.

here's dd last year. her allergies kicked in that morning so she's all red and puffy. Mickey and donald were great with her and feeling bad she wasn't well

here's some video of the same breakfast

one of the best interactions DD had was with Mary Poppins at 1900 Park Fare. Mary was wonderful. DD told her nanny and pappa were in England seeing Auntie and Mary told her that's where she's from but dd didn't understand the accent never the less she was in awe

They sure do!!! I have more pics of the back of DS2(at the time) from the way he ran up and hugged the character and they hugged back!! It really is priceless to see that kind of excitement on any child, but when it's your own it brings tears to your eyes:)
