Do the characters ever ride the rides?

It would be a cool idea if they did. I guess some wouldn't fit though.

We saw Mary Poppins and Peter Pan on the Carousel and then they both got off and together went on Peter Pan. It was neat.

I've also seen pictures of Brer Fox/Brer Bear riding Splash Mountain. I would assume that it probably was the first ride of the day.

My daughter rode goofy's Barnstormer with Goofy himself last year. We were the first people in line that day.

After the Family Magic Tour we saw Mickey's Phillharmagic with Peter Pan and Wendy and the year before we rode It's A Small World with them.

We saw Mary Poppins and Bert on the carousel too.

My dh, ds, dd and I were actually chosen to ride with Brer Bear and Brer Fox on Splash Mountain! We weren't the first ride of the day but we were close. We had raced to Splash Mountain along with all the other hundreds of people right when that side of the park had opened. As we were standing in line a very nice CM came up to me and asked "Are you a family of four?" to which I replied "yes". He then asked how we would feel about not having to wait in this long line to ride Splash Mountain and would we like to please follow him to the exit of the ride. I have to tell you at first I was a little nervous getting out of the line - we had raced over there and I didn't know what this guy was up to! On the way to the exit he told us that everyday they pick one special family who get to ride with the characters! It was one of the most awesome Disney magic moments we've ever had! The characters were so fun - interacting with all of us throughout the ride by dipping their paws in the water and getting us wet. They also pointed at themselves during various scenes throughout the ride. We had great fun waving at all the park guests who were taking our picture - or I should say Brer Bear and Brer Fox's pictures as it is quite unique to see them on the ride! The CM's gave us a special Magic Moments certificate and we got a free copy of the picture of all of us on the last hill. It is a Disney memory we will treasure forever!

I Saw Alladin & Jasmine on the Flying Carpets!
My nephew rode with Belle on IASW!

My son was chosen in 2001 to Open Fantasyland. He rode Dumbo with Minnie Mouse.

At DL my daughter jumped alone in Goofy's Bounce House with Goofy and Pluto.

I've seen characters on Splash Mountain and the teacups before.

Last March (2004) I saw Genie riding Magic Carpets of Aladdin. I think it was early afternoon.

At one time, the pooh characters rode the Winnie the Pooh ride at MK during the early morning. I've also seen Alice and the Mad Hatter riding the tea cups with kids.

During the Family Magic Tour we got to go see Philharmagic in the front row with Peter and Wendy - it was awesome!

We saw Mickey and Minnie once on the TTA with some other guests. Our car passed their car and it was pretty cool to see.

I'd rather be in the back seat with Jasmin.

While I was waiting for my sister and the kids to ride the Tea Cups, I got this pic of Alice and the Mad Hatter on the ride ahead of them.
This was right around noon, they just came up and ran onto the ride from the exit....jumped right in with a couple of people.

We've seen Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum on the tea cups (middle of the day). And, we've seen Mickey on Dumbo, early in the day/first ride in the day...my kids were on both rides at the same time as the characters, but not in the same tea cup or Dumbo --- still so much fun to see the the characters and ride at the same time as them! Great photos and memories!!

DD rode with Alice in a tea cup once a couple of years ago. I didn't have my camera.
