do tell the not to be missed at World Showcase

The film in France is wonderful. Beautiful classical music by French composers, French countryside and castles, and (maybe most important) you get to sit down in an air conditioned theater for the duration.

My family is a big fan of the World Showcase Players. They are a comedy troupe that plays in the United Kingdom. My daughter laughed herself silly!

Grab a pint of guiness sit on the curb and enjoy!

Off Kilter, the new movie in China, the Maelstrom, shopping all over, and then there's the food and drink... My favourite break is the lounge in Japan for a nice Kirin and some sushi.

Kungaloosh!
Mort.

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Ever since I was a kid...........we've always enjoyed the film in Canada (on the circular screen).......gives all of us goosebumps....

Also, in Germany, they've got a pretty cool Coo-coo (spelling?) clock right above the entrance to the restaurant that 'goes off' on the hour, every hour..............little known tip if you have never gone through Germany "On the hour"......We actually waited for it around 1pm and it only Coo-Coo'd once for one o'clock........bad timing (excuse the pun)....

That's all I've got that I can think of at this point, but there are so many other cool things in the WS that you will find if you just take your time.........and enjoy.......

:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

I'm nervous as all heck about my upcoming wedding (though I have the reward of heading to disney afterwards) so I thought I'd post to calm my nerves.

To be honest, I'm surprised someone hasn't already mentioned this but in my opinion one of the coolest things in the WS is the living statues. I believe they are located in Italy, and it's just so much fun to watch them, AND to interact with them. I don't know how active they will be when I'm there next week, but I do intend to seek them out!

Off Kilter is great. My DD loves getting a pearl from an oyster at Japan. She gets one every trip. We are saving them to make her a Disney Epcot Necklace when she graduates. The Malestrom is ok if you don't have to wait to long.

Have fun.

We loved the Living Statues as well. We also liked listening to the British Invasion and the Japanese drummers.

My kids LOVED the Kidcot station, the UK hedge maze, the African drums and the train in Germany.

For food, I would recommend the Fettucine and the dessert sampler at Alfredo's and the pastry called Marvellous at the French Bakery.

Off-Kilter in Canada and the British Invasion at UK are fantastic. So are the 2 singing groups in the USA pavilion. EPWS is great for just walking around and finding different performing groups. We walked into China and for some musicaians performing. Our daughter got called up with a couple other kids to to perform with them.

My suggestion is take a look at the entertainment schedule for the day and just wander around. You'll never know what you'll find.

You can get the weekly entertainment schedules at http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/

Don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for, but... Illuminations is my favorite thing in all of WDW. And that's in the WS. :earsboy:
And the Segway tour. Again, not exactly a static attraction, but it does take place in the WS.

I usually stop to watch the acrobats at China, see the model train layout at Germany, hear the drummer at Japan.

Go into the American pavilion and look at the pictures on the walls on the first floor and think about how easy our life is compared to the busy hard life of generations ago.

The film at China was updated just a year or two ago and here is a nice air conditioned place to cool off in.

More things to look for, with a big World Showcase section:
