Do some rides/attractions close early

I don't believe Tarzan's Treehouse closes early. Tom Sawyer's Island closes at dusk. The Mark Twain and Columbia close early because they are used for Fantasmic. The canoes also close early. Mickey's Toontown closes prior to the fireworks and stays closed until after they end. But I believe it re-opens at that point. I believe the Main Street vehicles also stop running around parades and in the evening.

Disney's California Adventure always closes before Disneyland.

The treehouse may be closed during Fantasmic. They turn off the lights in the area, so it could be a safety issue.

Also the center rides of Fantasyland (all the dark rides + carousel and dumbo) close for the fireworks, but will reopen afterwards. Same with the Train I think.

Its a Small World closes during the fireworks. They rope that area off going back towards Small World, into Toon Town in prep for the fireworks. Small World definitely reopens after the fireworks, not sure about Toon Town. The treehouse is definitely closed during Fantasmic, not sure if it reopens or not.

They aren't attractions, but the last time we went in 2006 some of the restaurants were closing early. Hopefully that isn't still happening because it was a real pain in the butt.

When we were there in May I felt like everything closed down during the fireworks. The question is what is open that we can do while the fireworks are going on? We felt we had no choice but to sit and watch them.

Actually, quite a lot is still open during fireworks:

Storybook Canal Boats (they stop the boats in the canal during fireworks so you can actually watch them while on your ride -- I did this last month and it was awesome)

Every ride in Adventureland
Every ride in Tomorrowland
Every ride in NOS

Also rides in Frontierland like Big Thunder and Critter Country (Splash and Pooh) are also open. Basically only the rides that might be affected by falling firework embers are closed. Riding rides during Remember can be a nice way to have some shorter lines.

There is far more open than closed in the overall park during the fireworks.

P.S. Dangermouse, I would love to be able to sit on a canal boat and see the fireworks! That would be so cool.

it's a small world has been closed since January for refurbishment and will remain so until November, 2008 (just so no one gets their hopes set on riding it on any upcoming trips).

Innoventions and its specific demonstrations have different hours than the park. Does anyone know what they are - I'm wondering about the new house of the future and asimo in particular? Thanks!

That is very true. However, when its open, its closed before (can't remember for how long before Remember actually starts) and during the fireworks.

It's really just luck of the draw if you are on a boat or not. I asked the CM at the ride about 20 minutes prior to showtime about it. She said that if we got in line right then, it looked like we might make it. So we did. About 5 minutes prior to showtime we were about 50 people back in line and the CMs made an announcement about the fact that the boats would be stopped in the canal for the entire show, so if people didn't want to be on the boats during that time, they should exit the ride. I was absolutely shocked at the amount of people that left the line! So we ended up on the first boat going into the canal for the fireworks show. I suppose if you got to the front of the line prior to the fireworks run, you could ask to wait.

Check on this when you're there but I think <THINK> it closes at 8:30 pm. We tried to go later than that last week and were told it was closed. I think she said it closed at 8:30 but it was a little hard to hear over the crowd noise - it didn't matter to us then since it was our last night.

With the Park closing right now at midnight, Innoventions closes at 10pm. They allow entry into the building up to about 9;15pm (to make sure you have time to see and do things before they close).

ASIMO has specific show times: Every hour on the hour from 12p - 6p with no show at 3pm. Be sure to leave enough time to get in the building and get into the theatre before the show you want to catch. They close the theatre doors exactly at show time.

The Dream Home of the Future is open now and it is a walk through so you can do it at your own pace once inside. You can spend 10 minutes (seeing very little) or hours if you want.
