Do "sea bands" work?

I got sea bands (and it took a new Walgreens opening here to get them!) and bonine for the cruise. Going to try it without anything first and see how it goes. Never cruised before :(

I see where ginger snaps are mentioned. Due saltine crackers work the same? I get the idea it just calms your stomach?

Another question: If you start to feel bad and take a bonine tab, how long does it take to kick in? Doc said I could take them even with my resp. problems but I would rather not if I don't have to.

Well here's hoping don't need any of the above.

Seabands work for me, but I only need to wear them the first day or two. When I tried to take them off the first day I slowly started to feel seasick, so I put them back on and felt fine. Never have seasickness so bad that I have to take meds though.

Don't know about for sea sickness, but sea bands did work for my morning sickness. :)
