Do room-only codes for value work for Moderate or Deluxe?

During my last trip to AKL i used a discount code originally for Value resorts only. The code appeared to work when i asked about using it on a Moderate or Deluxe so i booked AKL for $130 a night and got the free upgrade to Savannah-view room.

Has anyone tried this approach yet? It looks like my planned trip in December will be canceled most likely but will definetly be there in December 2007. We'll never do a summer again. I'm STILL tired and exhausted from the heat & humidity of the Florida summer. Never again during the summer will we visit....no matter how cheap it is.

When room only codes come out they tend to be for all 3 levels of the resorts. Just keep your eyes peeled

Yes, I agree! I don't understand why, but the WDW website almost always just shows the value resorts in the ads, but when you go to the website to price the mods and deluxes show up too. Must be a marketing thing, but doesn't make sense to me as a lot of potential mod/deluxe customers get to the "value resort" wording in the ad and don't realize that the others also come up....

Just a vent now (sorry!) What's up with the WDW website being so lousy anyway? Seems there is always some problem/glitch,etc. The other day I was on trying to price a package, and couldn't even find the special package that's going on now mentioned at all on their front page- I had to:
1) go to the "Tickets & Reservations" section
2) disregard the "What are you shopping for" section in the center because that didn't give me the deal rates and click on "Special Offers" on the left side
3) Choose "Great Package Rates" on the next screen
4) Scroll down to "Book your stay online now" - make sure and DON'T click on the left hand "Book Your Stay" button, as that did not get me the special rates
etc etc etc

I feel sorry for newcomers trying to check something out on there - I'm sure half the time they're not getting the very best price. It was like being Sherlock Holmes just to try and find the special rate!
