Do Rodgers cell phones work in disney

Hi:

Hubby and I are planning to be in the parks early, the other people in our group will arrive a little later. If we all have rogers cell phones, will they work in the parks to resort in wdw. Has anybody done this, so that we know where each other is. Or is there other ways of communicating?

I don't see why they wouldn't work inside the parks if they work at the resort.

Our Rogers cells worked in WDW but it's expensive (with roaming charges, etc.). Another option is to use 2-way radios...we used them in October, and for the most part, it worked really well. Probably wouldn't work from Resort to Park though...just within the park. Have you decided to go for sure Deb...when are you going?

Yup, they worked for us... but calls can get expensive. Under my plan, I was charged $0.50 long distance and $0.95 roaming.

That you could purchase a "Pay-as-you-Go" Type phone in FLA. This will allow you local calls without having to worry about extra charges.

It was stated that you could pick up a phone for about $50.00 US.

Yup, the Volkswagon dealer in Orlando, a 1/2 hour away, phoned my Rogers cell phone while we were in AK, to tell us our car was fixed. It is expensive so keep your calls short. Ours is .95 per minute plus .75 per minute roaming.

We also had a real surprise on our cell bill. Roaming charges killed us. We picked up 4 two way motorola radios - they work great. Make sure you get one that has a lot of different frequency setting though-there are alot of families that use them in WDW.
