Do rides have SAFE storage spots?

I'm undecided as to whether or not I should bring a backpack into the parks, because it can be hard to find a place to store it while riding rides. I'll be traveling w/o my parents so I won't be able to give it to them to hold. Is there an easy way to store bags (like in a secure bin) when hopping on some of the more intense rides- ToT, RnRC, MS, TT, SM, BTM, SM, etc? Thanks for your invalubable help, I'm just trying to get out all my last minute questions before I leave :boat:

If, by "secure" you mean something that can be locked, then no. I don't know of any rides that have a place to store things.

I've used a backpack plenty of times when at WDW. On rides, I usually put it on the floor of the ride, and, if it's a rough ride, i.e., SM, Splash Mtn, ToT, etc., I put my legs through the arm straps to make sure it doesn't go anywhere. I'm over six feet tall and still have plenty of leg room despite putting my backpack there.

At AK does have a covered area in middle of ride boat to put stuff to keep dry and safe. :goodvibes :flower: :wizard:

I can't think of any safe storage spots. I do like others and just take it with me and either lock my arm or leg through the arm strap while it is on the floor. It has never been a problem.

They have lockers at each park, though, if you get tired of carrying it around and want to store it for an extended time during the day.

You can take a backpack on EVERY ride/attraction at WDW. Some you might have you sit in on the floor, put your leg through the strap.

There are several that have bins/pouches to stick them in like Mission Space, Dinosaur and Star Tours for example. Like in front of your feet on Mission space you open a little bin and stick your stuff in there. So its secure, no ones gonna steal it and you won't lose it.

Take your backpack, there's nothing to worry about at all.

I do the leg through the strap thing all the time on the rougher rides- it's never been a problem at all!

You'll be fine. :)

I do the 'geeky vest' thing (see the thread! :rotfl: ) and then I don't have to worry about a backpack! Keeps everything free! And my pockets and such all zip up, so I don't lose anything out when I'm upside down!

leg through the arm strap works every time!!! got that hint here on the dis b4 our trip, and dh thought it was awesome. a couple of rides do have a bin of sorts to put it in right in front of you too.

dh says make sure you sit in the front seat on space mtn. as there is more room for backpack, and legs!!! :goodvibes
