I'm not sure if the prices fluctuate like other hotels, or if they're set based on the season - I'm currently booked with the APH rate, but have not yet bought my pass online. Not sure if I should pull the trigger or wait and see if regular rates drop. As of now, it's pretty much a break even proposition to get the AP, I'm mainly benefiting from the 10% discount in park.

i've had ap rate drops before.
if the hotel occupancy level is not what they want it to be, drops for ap rooms can happen.

but they go quickly.

you have to call to modify your rate asap.

Yes, they do. That is one reason not to book a package or on a website that doesn't allow changes if you are booking way in advance.

Thanks. I guess there's no reason to buy the AP too much in advance. I'll keep checking rates until I get to the cancellation period, and if the regular rate drops I may not get the AP. If the AP rate drops more, then even better!

haven't seen the regular rate drop as much as the ap room rates.

if the ap rooms book completely up, no need to drop the regular rates then.

Definitely keep checking both normal and AP rates. And there's no need to get the AP until the last minute. Especially since you can order it online and just pick it up at a kiosk. AP rates come and go; last Feb the whole hotel kept booking up and then the next day there would be rooms available, and sometimes the AP rates would be gone, then they showed back up. Keep checking.
