Do pets ever wonder why they can't talk like us?

Get the rubber room ready but we have a seal point siamese that CAN talk! It's not just that she can say certain words but she says them appropriately.

For instance... when you ask her if she's a pretty girls, her reply is I am. She can also say No to things she doesn't want and when she's surprised, she says Wow.

I've had Siamese cats of and on during my life but this is the first one who seems to have figured out the language barrier.

I think they wonder why we waste so much time with words. They manage to get and do all they need without them.
Maybe we need to learn how to do without.:crazy2:

Virgo10 - I have a Siamese and my DD tabby cat. These two plus my dog are peacefully surrounding me as I type. I practiced with your cats vocabulary - Must mean something - they all interupted their sleep and stared at me. Maybe you're on to something.

Funny thread - thanks

My dog tries to talk. He makes weird noises that sound like gibberish.

I think he thinks he is a little person.

This may sound a bit wacky, but I have always had this theory that pets are beyond genius level. In fact, they are so smart they just pretend like they can't talk and understand us so that they don't have to work or do what we say. It is funny how they understand food, let's go ride, and want to go outside. Something to think about. They pretend to be dumb so they can be taken care of all their lives by us crazy humans.

i have 3 sons and 2 cats.
sometimes i prefer talking with the cats more than the kids.
cats don't talk back in a sassy way as they know better.

first let me say i am not on medicine and i am not imagining this but my cats talk to me and others. i know them like the back of my hand and understand each sound they make. cats can meow 15 different ways for different meanings.

watch animal planet...........very interesting when they focus the show on cats.

Here's another one to ponder.....what do pets think about since they can't use words? They know they're hungry or tired, but they can't think the words "I'm hungry" :scratchin
