Do people ever cancel their illuminations cruises?

I wanted to book one of the illuminations birthday cruises on October 20th for DD when we take MIL with us and so far we haven't been able to get one Maybe I can find someone on ebay selling their ressie

I am sure people do end up cancelling cruises. I read somewhere to check with marina even day before (there is a 24 hour cancellation window). Some nights the boats do sit idle! Also post on the October Illuminations Cruise and maybe you can find someone looking to share!

Lisa, people cancel all the time. I don't know if you remember Cruise Captain (Captain Derrell). He used to post here. At any rate, he told me that sometimes his boat sits idle because someone cancelled their reservation.

His advice was to keep calling and trying for a reservation, even while you are at WDW. So don't give up.

I believe Jakesmom recently snagged a cancellation. I know that my cruise in 2000 was a cancellation because I called only about a month out.
