We will be attending the Christmas party for the first time this year and I want to know how people dress. Do they wear holiday shirts and maybe kooky holiday hats? I want my friend and I to wear some cute Christmas shirts and some long stocking knit Christmas hats. Will we be the only ones celebrating by wearing lots of holiday clothes? Does anybody have pictures of what the crowds are wearing at the party?
I'm so excited, I'm already getting ready to pack!:santa::santa:

Thanks!

Over the years we have collected quite of few Disney Christmas T Shirts.
A little too cold to wear them back home, but we pack them every year to head down to DWD with us.

We are normally there the week after Thanksgiving and will be sporting a different Christmas Disney T every day (not just the party).

We do have Santa Mickey mouse hats. We wore them the first couple years. But lately, it has been too hot to wear them all night long.

we go every year and I wear nothing but Christmas clothes the whole trip. I love this time of the year. For the party I have a special coat I made with Xmas Mickey's and have him on my jeans too, along with my Mickey Christmas Santa hat. We will be at the party on Dec 1st.

I would love it if it was too hot to wear them, then i know we have good weather. :goodvibes However, did you buy them in the park. I am trying to order them somewhere on line so we can have them before we go. Anyone know where to get them. did not see them on Disney shopping

It looks like they are just starting on the Disney.com site to get things in, they do have some hats

but you could also try ebay I have had luck there, waiting until you are at the parks might not be so bad, less to pack and they had a huge selection last year

You will not be alone wearing your Christmas clothing and hats. DS and I wore santa hats...I purchased a pink satin santa hat that says Disney Princess on it at one of the CR gift shops and wore it and loved it and will be wearing it again, not only the party, but all week long! I didn't get to wear my Tink denim Christmas shirt because it was too warm but there were lots and lots of people wearing holiday t-shirts, light up hats and everything. DS wore his "nightmare before Christmas" shirts. You will not be out of place at all--it's fun!

Thanks for the replies. I am so excited that lots of people get into the Christmas spirit by dressing up. At least I won't feel "goofy". :lmao:

This will be our first time going to MVMCP and I was thinking of letting my kids wear their Christmas PJs. I thought it would make for cute pictures.

Last year the kids wore their hats. Dd has a purple Tinkerbelle hat and ds has a red Mickey hat with ears. I told dh we were getting hats this year to wear too. We didn't get Christmas shirts last year but this year we are going to buy some.

We will be wearing lots of Christmas shirts and we have cool hats. It can cool down at night, I remember our last MVMCP was chilly and our sweaters came in handy as we stayed until the end of the party.

Anyone going Dec 3rd, we will be there! :cool1:

My DD has to go to the barber shop and get all the Christmas sparkles put in her hair. Everyone kept commenting on it. It does not cost that much and you definitely will stand out.

Ok, since we are going to MVMCP I know that the temp goes down at night so I was thinking that I would have us dress up in our "christmas" clothes, you know DD w/red velvet skirt and maybe a black dressy sweater and DS with black cord pants and plaid shirt (red/blk/white) and with DH and I in I dont know!

I'm making Christmas themed t shirts for MVMCP but will wait til the last minute because I don't know if we'll need them long or short sleeved.

My family all wore matching Mickey/Minnie Xmas sweaters, hats, & gloves. We also all have matching Mickey fleece jackets & it's a good thing we'd brought them. It was freezing the night we went to MVMCP (Dec. 21) :cold:.

that sounds like what we would do too :goodvibes
Where did you buy your Mickey sweaters and hats? If you bought them in WDW what would they cost :scared1:

We're going to be at the MK all day on the day of MVMCP. I was thinking that maybe that will be the day I splurge and get a Disney Christmas Jacket or sweatshirt.

DGS will be getting the full Pirate League treatment that morning. I don't know how compatible that is with the Christmas theme....maybe I'll put some jingle bells in his faux dreads. :lmao:

The Disney Store.

In the fall of 2005 or 2006 they were selling the most gorgeous, thick, holiday sweaters. For the guys, it's Mickey wearing a santa cap. For the girls....it's Minnie. The coordinating hats & gloves also have the holiday characters on them.

Here's the boy's sweater http://cgi.ebay.com/Boys-girls-Mick...emQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2a01d4f2fd

Here's the girl's http://cgi.ebay.com/Disney-Minnie-M...ltDomain_0?hash=item3c9fe23038#ht_3003wt_1167

Oh, and that's where I got the beautiful fleece jackets as well.

The cost in WDW would be a couple hundred dollars for a family of 4.
