Do Park Reservations Open Up?

I need to use the last day of my CA 3 day ticket and was looking at May 9th and it's completely blacked out -- it looks like all the weekends in May are. Anyone think something will open up? Is there a way to track without going and searching constantly?

That's typical with the special promo tickets. The closer to the deadline, the more likely reservations are going to be filled up. Your ticket and everyone else's expires on 5/21. There's no magic answer other than checking back multiple times per day as people inevitably cancel and change plans.

If you want to avoid reservation issues, regular tickets seldom book up, but they're also more expensive.

My daughter ran into this problem. She had to change her ticket to a "regular" one because the CA ticket deal didn't have availability anymore for the dates we need.

Luckily, she had purchased through getaway today. We only need one-park-per-day tickets and if she had booked through Disney she would have had to keep park hoppers. She still had to pay for the change, but it was less expensive

Oh, I didn't know you could change the type of ticket -- can you do this after you have used some of the days?

You might be able to but then you lose all of the savings because you will have to upgrade to a full price 3-day ticket.

Thanks everyone -- I was able to get the date I needed through some serious refreshing. Not the park I prefer to start in, but I'll make it work and will continue to refresh.

For those in the same boat -- I definitely recommend the constant refresh method

Glad you got it. I’ve had to modify mine and I just kept refreshing and refreshing until I got what I wanted.
