Do others feel this way.....

jsmith, What a hard time this holiday season is for you. Don't worry about what you have to do or what you haven't done. Just spend time with your DH and enjoy him and the time you have with him. Everybody will understand.

My sister's DH has a medical condition. One year he was in and out of the hospital the month of Dec. She didn't get the big tree up, nothing got done. In fact, I came the week before X-mas to take care of her kids. (My Mom had just gone home and he went back into the hospital). I took her one year old and did most of her Christmas shopping. No, I or my sister got everything done that year. But it was a great Christmas. My BIL was there and on the mend. Since we weren't sure he was going to make it, it was the best present ever.

It's not the little things that are important. And if everything doesn't get done, oh well! I have changed my tune since that Christmas.

Why do you think I HAVE to got to WDW in January???? I need a vacation from the holidays!!!!

What did shep do now?;) :p :teeth:

Poor shep....but it isn't him. He was very good this weekend. Put up with 22 kids and a wife trying to keep everyone organized and took Mandy to a bday party while I shopped. The only difference is he did get some rest time this weekend, I didn't:confused:

Lewski709....if it wasn't so early in the year I would go, but I don't like to take my vacation so soon in the year then have nothing left later on. Wish I was going:(

I can relate to that too. Going early in the year makes the rest of the year LONG with only 2 weeks vacation.

Amanda-learn to say no. You don't have to go to every party! And as for all those gifts-scale back! Yes giving is the best part of the season but you can give anytime of the year. Maybe next year you can plan to give cards only at Xmas and give little gifts at random times during the year?!

AND schedule that time for yourself! You deserve it.

Easy for me to say all this since I've been housebound the past few days with sick kids. It's amazing what you can get done when you can't go anywhere.

I have no Christmas spirit anymore :( Since Travis is all grown up and moved away, mother is in a nursing home and we have no other family near, it just isn't fun anymore. I wish we could just skip over it.

Sometimes I wish we could just skip over it too. Maybe we could skip it together.;)

I give gifts during the year...just ask shep:) I just love doing things for others.

When my girls were sick I didn't get anything accomplished. The only way Cassie would rest was when I was sitting with her.
