Do orbs in pictures = ghostly activity?

I just parked in the parking lot of the Inn at 835 in Springfield, IL this weekend! Funny I lived in Springfield most of my life and didn't know there was a ghost story about that place until this post!! My good friends grandparents used to live there when it was still an apartment building. It is really a beautiful place. Not sure about the ghost though.

I dunno, finding images of "ghosts" in these photos kind of reminds me of finding the Mother Theresa in a piece of toast . They don't really look like ghosts to me, but shadows that we're trying to find something in.

In the circled area, you can make out legs, with a bit of a heel on the shoe. I can see a less defined torso and head with a top hat on.

It's funny, I had no idea what orbs were til earlier this year, when my friend who watches those ghost stories on the travel channel told me. Then I showed her pics I took at the Winchester Mystery House last year, and it was full of "orbs". I honestly believe they were just specks of dust, but she and I were cracking up looking at the pics, since that house is supposedly haunted. I'll post some of the pics if I can figure out how....

I had a relative in upstate NY - they say the house was built on a site where an indian school or something had burned down. Whenever my sister and I went there, we always saw white shapes outside the windows at night. I was always afraid in that house - if you had to go to the bathroom at night you would run and feel like someone was behind you. You would see things out of the corner of your eye, but when you turned there was nothing there.

When my father was dying at home I was always seeing things out of the corner of my eye - I am sure it was my Mom coming to take him.

I know a lot of people here will make fun of this - but that's OK - I don't believe everything I read here either.

Would that be anywhere near Delhi?? My friend has a 2nd house in upstate NY, we go there sometimes and it;s creepy!

The middle picture along the top looks like George Washington?? Is it just me? The one directly below it looks like Michael Meyers in the hockey mask. The one next to that looks like an old picture of Harry Houdini I saw once. Very cool picture though!

Okay, this 1st pic is inside the house, it's of an organ.

Ummmm, they usually lean towards it being dust over anything else.
