I stopped at the MAC counter today in Macy's and was SUCKED in - I bought a lipstick and lipliner and the salesgirl said, oh you have to see the new lipglosses that came in today, everyone is going crazy for them - she showed me the display and of course I HAD to have one ;) - I figure I have a couple of parties coming up and I have to look presentable, right?

Anyone else LOVE makeup? I'm trying to copy the make-up look of Kim Kardashian (I'm not going to go as dark on the eyes as she does) and I found out the colors she uses and I'm trying to re-create her look.

I do except mine is with Benefit makeup. I could easily drop 500 dollars there in no time with all the different colors and foundations and everything they offer.

Me too.. addicted, and so are my three daughters.. I love the MAC jewelry as those are my initials and I try to get them to give me a necklace, but no way..;) Have you tried the MAC make up removing cloths.. they are the best.

Anyway, I like it all, but my particular favorite is Guerlain which they sell at Epcot in France..

I actually use the Garnier make up removing cloths, they're usually on sale at CVS and they work really good - I'm sure the MAC ones are way more expensive.

I also went into Sephora today and the line to pay was almost out the door, you would think they were giving stuff away. The mall was packed, people were buying stuff like crazy, even in the Louis Vuitton store - I thought the economy was bad? :confused3

Let’s just say that when I walk into Neiman Marcus the girls at the make up counter say “Cha Ching”!! I am such a sucker for a good make up pitch. I’ve been using Shu Uemura and on my latest shopping adventure I even bought some fancy fake eyelashes, which do happen to look great on, but I’ve only actually worn about 5 times. They are really fun to put on for a night out, but not something you wear everyday.

oooohhh....I love Sephora. I just plopped down some serious change at the Sephora store when we went to Florida, and that was me restraining myself. I love the Shu last curler but I bought the Sephora brand I LOVE those. Plus if you haven't tried to the Fiberwig mascara, you've got to try it. It doesn't come off except with warmer water. My friend turned me on to b/c I always looked like a racoon w/ the mascaras, even with the waterproof ones. Love love love Mac. I had to walk away from the Mac counter today, but I kept looking back though. ;)

So now it is time to tell my MAC story that will make you drool. Few years ago we were eating at Maggiano's in Boston on our way to see Les Mis. After dinner we went to use the ladies room which is down stairs with the function rooms. When I had gotten out of the bathroom my husband said look in the last room. I asked why and he said just go and look. WEll MAC had had one of their periodic meetings there earlier and left behind the ENTIRE LINE of consmetics to be dumped. YEP to be dumped. So natrually I went in and filled my pockets ( they do not transport the products back to sell but just get rid of it like any other trade show). IT WAS A DREAM come true. I got over 300 worth of make up and brushes. Thankfully I got there before the cleaning crew but if I had a bigger bra I would have filled that too. I was so excited that on our way back to the theatre when this huge scary looking pan handler approached my husband I did not even care all I could think of was my make up in my pockets. I had the best seats ever 3rd row center to see LES MIS and all I could think about was the make up in my pockets. I was on a high for the following week and each time I think of it I think...why didn't I stuff some in my pantyhose b/c I ran out of places to carry it out.

OMG! Good thing I love big purses, I think I would've had the whole line in it!! I would've recruited dh to help too.

You totally should have taken off the pantyhose and used them as a bag! :lmao:
I wish I could be so lucky to run across piles of MAC!
I may have to check out these new lipglosses....

My MAC story-I worked with a very attractive part time MAC makeup artist, who worked nights and weekends at MAC in local Dillard's and wanted to catch the corporate Honcho;s eye when some new Campaign started-so he cut his raven black hair in a Mohawk& dyed it bright blue-came to work the next day with his "holey jeans" and disco black shiny shirt-because he was going right to MAC after work!!!

Boss made him go home and change and he had to wear a baseball hat at work until his hair grew out.:rotfl2:

That ROCKS!!!! I wish some make up fairy would leave me a stash!

I had the Fiberwig in my hand - and put it down!!! I had never heard of it before but I was really interested it in, I guess now it will be on my list for next time! I use the eyelash curler from ELF and it really is good, and it only was $1!!

Oh you will love the Fiberwig....My friend told me about it and I kind of balked at the price tag but then I said, what the heck and now I'm not going to even look at the pink and green tube mascara that say they don't clump but do....I'm going to definitely have to try the elf curlers. Especially for a dollar! The poetic wax is pretty awesome too.

I'm embarassed to admit this but I had to go to Macy's w/my mother & sister today and we walked by the MAC counter and they said lets go over and look - well one of the salespeople did up my eyes a la Kim Kardashian and I ended up buying two eyeshadows. The best part was when I got home, my dh DID NOT like the look at all, he said I looked goth :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I am a total MAC girl as well! Since I am tan the colors they have look great on me! It's really sad... the girl's in Bloomingdales know me by name already! They love to see me coming! :)

I have friends who swear by MAC and I have some but what has me balking is the price. Good lord that stuff is expensive. I prefer my Avon and Everyday Minerals. Those don't bankrupt me.
