Do not shop at this place!!!

Has anyone ordered from The Laughing Place Store. I ordered a book for my DH on the 13th of this month and have still not received it. I've called the phone numbers listed on the website many times, no one ever answers the phone. I've left 2 messages, the last one was rather heated. I've also e-mailed them and asked what is the problem and where is my order. Does anyone have any experience with this company? What action should I take next?

I have never heard of this place before. I went to there website. It looks horrible. I would call you credit card company and try to get you money back

I've never ordered from them but I've read quite a few threads here on the DIS about the extremely slow shipping and non-existant customer service.

I shopped there once but will never do so again. I ordered some window decals for my car from Laughing Place. The charge was on my next credit card bill but I never received the decals. It took several months of e-mails until I finally got a response. They did finally resolve the situation by refunding the money and sent me the decals for free by express mail. It was a nice resolution but it never should have taken as long as it did.

Well, I just wanted to give everyone an update. Yesterday I ccontacted Paypal and opened a dispute about the matter. Paypal then contacted them. I got up this morning to an email apoplogizing that it has taken do long to ship and telling me that it was shipped out yesterday along with a tracking number. I've definately learned my lesson and will never shop with them again.

Here is what I think this "store" is. I think it is basically a WDW shopping service. I don't think they really carry much inventory. Some of the pictures very much seem to be cel phone photos of merchandise in stores at WDW.

I think when you order from them, they go to WDW and purchase what you wanted and then ship it to you.

I'd suspect that they'd wait until they have several orders and get them all at once.

Again, this is JUST MY OPINION but I really think that is what is happenings.

Sorry you're having trouble with them. I ordered car decals from them with no problems whatsoever. The shipping was fast, I was told upfront that one of the decals had to be back ordered. I even emailed a question recently to them about a specific item listed on their site and I received a very prompt and courteous reply.

That's what I think too. I'm pretty dang sure I saw the website sometime back probably a year ago or more and they had a notice that they went into the merchandise to ship to you. It wasn't any cheaper than getting it in the park either.
