Do not ever order from Deep Discount!

I have had several orders in the past from Deep Discount and they were fine. I placed a few orders this Christmas season and have had nothing but headache with two of them.

First I ordered Brother Bear soundtrack in October and they sent something totally different. They sent me a return authorization to print out and place on the box so I wouldn't have to pay shipping (good thing). It took FOREVER before they said they received it. I e-mailed and said I did not want Brother Bear any longer and to refund my credit card. They e-mailed back and said they would when they received the wrong item back. (sigh) Yesterday I got an e-mail saying Brother Bear has shipped to me!!! I don't want it or need it any longer!!!!!! I e-mailed them again and they said to refuse delivery and when they get it back they will give me a refund. I AM READY TO SCREAM!!!

Problem 2! Ordered Cars DVD. Received Spanish version. Sent that back to exchange for english version. Got smart and did delivery confirmation with the post office which showed it was received November 28th. Deep Discount says they haven't received it. I told them I had delivery confirmation with the post office to prove it was delivered and they e-mailed back saying things mailed through the post office don't have tracking numbers!!! IDIOTS!!!

What would you do???????? I liked Deep Discount because they have free shipping and their prices are sometimes good and even great when they have a sale but I wouldn't order from them again if everything was free.

Well I would hesitate to order there after two such instances as you had. However, once they called you a liar ( i.e. no tracking # @ USPS ) they would be it for me.

BUt you have the perfect opportunity.

once they called you a liar you talk to someone who cares, not the first person to answer the phone, and demand restitution. Like a $30 credit or something... Plus your previous problems correctly properly.

The key is to not raise your own blood pressure during the process.

I can't believe they called you a liar! That is when I'd threaten to contact the Better Business Bureau.

Thanks for the suggestion about the BBB. I checked their website and found Deep Discount has quite a few complaints (all resolved so they have a satisfactory rating). Here is my latest e-mail to DD about the Brother Bear issue:

Excuse me but this is no longer my problem. It is yours. I expect a refund to my credit card within the next 14 days and confirmation of such refund sent to me. As a result of this mess and one other that I still have with your company I have researched Deep Discount on the Better Business Bureau website and see that quite a few people have found it necessary to file a complaint. I will be filing my own complaint if I do not receive a refund immediately.
