Do non-expiring tickets still exist?

I have not been able to locate them but perhaps I haven't look hard enough? Anyone know? TIA

I didn’t think so but a poster mentioned some for Canada residents.

Last spring's (2017) discount offer for Canadians did indeed have non-expiring tickets. Mine actually say they expire in 2030 but that's close enough for me. This year's Canadian offer was for tickets that expire on Dec 31 2018.

But that’s unused, right?

Could they be used day by day for as long as the days lasted, though?

Was that a date they needed to be used by? All tickets have an expiration date now. That is different than a no expiration ticket which could be used for an indefinite amount of time.

Yes, that was the date they had to be used for the first time by. All of them expire 14 days after first use. They were not "non-expiring" in the sense that unused days could be used at a much later time. Sorry I wasn't clear on that.

The ones I bought last spring are valid through Dec 31, 2030 according to the MDE app. My account on the website shows no "use before" date at all, so who knows? We're saving those ones for a future trip which will certainly be before 2030, lol. The ones that I recently bought for our upcoming trip have to be used for the first time by Dec 31, 2018.

Sure glad I got those discounted tickets in light of the recent price increase.

Can the tickets which are expiring on 12/31/18 be upgrading to current pricing and be used in 2019?

No. Once activated the tickets expire after 14 days.

Ok so I’m using the “non expiring” definition to mean the old tickets that didn’t expire until all used up.

This new usage is confusing me. :)

I wonder what the OP meant.

They will give you credit for the gate amount that was in effect prior to this February 2018 increase. That's what happened with tickets purchased before the price increase in February 2017.

OP here. Sorry for the confusion. What I meant was that once upon a time, you could buy tickets at whatever the current price was and hold onto them indefinitely without them expiring before use. I know that once you activate them, they must be used within 14 days. I guess those types of tickets sadly no longer exist.

Correct.

Sadly, no. The non-expiratuion option was discontinued some time after our 2011(?) trip I believe. Definately was not available when we took our 2013 trip.
