Do non-expiring tickets still exist?

I wish ..

I bought mine in 2014 (they stopped "printing" them in 2015) and even though you paid a premium for them (compared to normal 10-day MYW tickets) .. they average out to $73/day (with hoppers). At today's prices (even if you go 5+days) .. paying $73 a day is a steal. I'm sad I only have 4 days left on mine.

But if wait and save those until 2025 or so .. I will probably be going at half price!

I just couldn't bring myself to sock away THOUSANDS of dollars in Disney tickets or else I could have saved a TON of money on future trips by buying stacks of those tickets.

There is a reason they don't print them anymore .. because if they did, everyone would just buy these tickets instead of normal tickets.

Tickets sold by Undercover Tourist are Disney tickets - they're no different than tickets sold by Disney.
That's not quite correct.

We buy tickets at the retail price, and on the date we buy them.

Wholesale buyers buy tickets in bulk, well before the date they sell them to you, and at the wholesale price.

So if you try to modify them, the CM might look at the wholesale buyers date and price, which can create some confusion. If you ever want to modify a ticket, check the pricing carefully.

In short, I've often had different CM's offer me different answers when I've asked about modifying my ticket.

So, what else is new?
Poorly-trained CMs can screw up any process.
Just don’t settle for bad service.

Everyone might not know that when a guess services CM quotes them a price after scanning their ticket.

And the possibilities just keep getting more complicated.

Disney tickets.
The new calculus.

;)
One new thing that will be interesting this week. Last year was the beginning of price bridging only up to a certain date. This week is the first price increase since then. I don't think we know yet how tickets bought between 2/17 and 2/18 will be bridged. Will they be valued only up to their value on 2/10/18? Or will all of these "new order" (post-2/17) tickets be bridged the way things were done in the old days, up to the current gate price?

I really want to avoid relying on price bridging in the future, even though I did it for years. Too much uncertainty now as Disney may choose to avoid "revenue bleeding".

I'm waiting to hear back on the "inside word" on this very thing.

I'm thinking @ravenclawtrekkie may be our go-to source for this one.

It's worth repeating that last September I was adding days to a pre-2017 ticket and by very sweetly and innocently asking "are you sure?" when my CM calculated the upgrade price, I was able to get an old ticket bridged all the way to the then-current price. But this was definitely a case of pixie dust. When I tried the same thing a couple days later upgrading my wife's MYW to an annual pass, my CM *was* sure - and I had to pay the higher upgrade cost. Still, worth a try.
