Do most kids (6 and 7) like Boma?

I would say my kids aren't very adventurous eaters... probably average eaters for their age. I was wondering, if you have been to Boma, did your kids like the foods that were offered? Would you go back to Boma with them?
Thanks!

Both of my kids (2 and 4) love Boma. Granted they will eat almost anything, but they also have the standard Disney kid's stuff...mac&cheese, chicken nuggets, noodles, etc. If nothing else they'll like the desert. If you're not staying at AKL show up early so you can see the animals.

My 5yo loved Boma and I am trying to fit it in for our next trip. We ate breakfast there on the way to AK. My son also loved walking around the AKL.

The children's pod at Boma is good. It's the non-adventurous adults who don't care for this restaurant.

My boys LOVE Boma. I have one super picky eater and one adventurous eater. The kids buffet has pasta plain, tomato sauce, meatballs, chicken nuggets and fries. This is enough to satisfy my picky eater. My adventurous eater loves to pick a few new things to try. They both love the dessert buffet. It's a must do for us.

I am sorry to say I think we are the only people that did not like it at all. My daughter was 7 and did not like anything.:confused3

DS9 is very picky and he loved Boma. He said they had the best mac & cheese EVER and he wants to go back on our next trip. They also had chicken nuggets, fries, and plain pasta, so he was a happy kid. DD7 is more adventurous and loved it as well. She especially loved the coffee tarts for dessert. I agree- it's the picky adults who don't like it. I saw one lady eating the food off the kids' section and thought what a waste. We LOVED Boma!

Don't know about 6 or 7 year olds but my rather particular then 11 yr old DS loved Boma during our last visit to the World. I will qualify by saying not sure he really ate much of the African fair. The buffet does include several soups, though, and one of the at least 4-5 offerings (they switch them out, depending on the rotation, I believe) caught his interest that night. He mentioned the french fries were good, the ground chick pea balls (I can't remember the real name for them), and he also really liked the selection of desserts. Maybe not the most nutritious choices, but hey, it was just one night on vacation.

So it was a winner for him, while I was a little disappointed with Boma, and I had really been looking forward to it as had cancelled reservations the visit before and had heard such good commentary here on the boards about it. For me, I really didn't like the sweet element to a lot of the options. I certainly found enough to eat, though; the soups were tasty and the curry pasta salad was a standout for me.

My boys have eaten at Boma since they were very young (4 & 2), and now at 9 & 7 , it is still one of their 'must-do' restaurants at Disney. I think it's the desserts.

we are looking to talk ds8 there on our next trip. we think that she will really like it and if not there are plenty of normal options there as well. we figure it is a great chance for her to try other foods and if she does not like them she can find something that will suit her well.

We are returning for a third time this August. My two kids were 4 and 7 on our first visit and found plenty to eat.....my youngest loved the fresh melon and the mini desserts.
