Our stockings say mom and dad. I actually have 2 stockings hanging up. The stocking I had when I was little has my name on it. It's not an actual "stocking" but a pair of Santa pants with a big black belt and gold buckle. My mom and dad got it from the hospital when I was born since I was born only 13 days before Christmas. That one is just used for decoration now but I still hang it up every year.

Our stockings have our real names on them, but we also got them years before DS was born.

Santa fills stockings. :)

My and my SO's stockings have our names on it. Santa may not know me as "mom".;) My kids laugh because when I made our stockings (putting names and designs on them, I don't knit;)), all of our stockings were the same size. Then right after that, I found a Mickey stocking and HAD to have it. It's bigger than their stockings, but that's the one that gets hung.:p

Santa doesn't fill stockings in my home. He always forgets to do that.:o

No stocking have names on them. Adults or Children.

I have my stocking from when I was a child, but it isn't filled anymore. My mom used to "do stockings" for us and the grandkids but it got too expensive (her words). So now it is just a childhood momento.

I've had my stocking since I was a kid at home so it says my name. It is hand knitted and years later when dd was very small we happen to find a friend that had the pattern and knew how to knit so we hired her to make stockings for my dh and dd. I never considered putting "mom" or "dad" on a stocking before. My parents always had their names on their stockings also.

I still have my stocking from when I was little. A family friend made it for my first Christmas. So it has my childhood nickname on it. My DH has a stocking from our 1st Christmas together but it doesn't have his name on it.

DH & I still have our stockings from when we were kids, but we don't hang them. We only hang the ones for the kids.

I think this is mostly due to space. Once we have a bigger house, I think we'd use all four.

Kids stockings were made by their great aunt, with their first names on them (not nicknames).

DH and I have a Tigger head and Eeyore head stocking, respectively, without names on them. As an only child, my parents still hang my full given name (Victoria Anne) stocking at their house.

Santa used to fill stockings, but we've explained that we want him to be able to do more for other children, so we've taken over putting those goodies in as the weeks lead up to Christmas. It's fun to watch little bumps appear in them!

No names - they're all different. Santa used to fill all the stockings. This is the first year dh and the boys are supposed to fill mine. We'll see how it goes.

other - none of our stockings have names on them - they're all different.

Ditto to what caitycaity said. I get new stockings every couple of years - to match my kids' emerging personalities - this year DS has a snowman skiing and DD has a ballet pointe shoe stocking. And DH and I get new ones as well.

We let our 4yo decide what names we would have on Dw's and I's stockings. Her explanation was that Santa didn't know us by mom and dad...but by our names so we went with it.

I have Mom on mine and DH has Papi (what my boys call him) on his.

We used to have our names on them, but I ordered all new ones for all 5 of us this year, and I put Daddy and Mommy on dh's and mine this time. I think while our kids are young, it's fits better. :D I saved the old ones though...for later use. ;)

Ours say Jimmy & Vicki, but we've had them since we got married..and we weren't Mommy & Daddy until after we'd been married for 7 years. LOL
If I got new ones they'd say Mommy & Daddy(or Mom & Dad) I think..

other--We don't have names on any of ours. They are different. It was this way when I was growing up too. Now that I am grown, I have a cute bear stocking, DH has a camoflauge stocking (he's the deer hunter in the family  ), our dogs share a bone shaped stocking, and our cats share a fish shaped stocking. (Yes, Santa Paws does visit at our house.) Next year, when our baby is here, we plan to have a stocking that says Baby's First Christmas. When they are old enough for a more mature stocking, I don't know if we will put their name on it or not. We'll decide when the time gets here.
