We're driving down to Missouri during July to visit my new dad :Pinkbounc (he's my birth-dad) and we're considering renting a car since both of our cars have tons of miles on them already. I like the idea of renting a mini-van where the kids will have enough space to not get on each other's nerves. I'd really like a DVD player too. Do car rental companies offer or include DVD players in the mini-vans? I checked some car rental websites to look at the amenities offered in the mini-vans but didn't see anything about DVD players.

Probably not. Most rentals are pretty stripped down. You could buy a portable DVD. I got one at Sam's for $150. It worked great on our trip from STL to Chicago. They also make some that come with two monitors. It really was a life saver for us.

When I was looking to rent a minivan in Denver, Hertz offered a van with an optional DVD player so it is possible, but can be expensive. I think I was looking at Expedia when I saw the van with the DVD option so you could start there and also try Orbitz.
