Do men really wear Crocs?

I think my DH is fairly manly and he has a pair of the Payless Airwalks in none other than the lime green and yellow tye-dye. He would have liked to get the masculine style but they didn't have anything but black and he was afraid the dark color would be too hot at WDW so he stuck with his tye-dye ones. He won't wear them at home but is planning to get a different color of Croc's when he can find them in his size in a color he likes. He does occassionally wear my dark brown ones, but so far hasn't done the black Mary Janes.

He does wear them with socks and swears that his feet did great in them. He will definitely wear them again next trip.

I found a pair of black airwalk connect sandals that look pretty manly, and the only style my husband would consider wearing. He likes them, although he swears he will only wear them for our next WDW trip.

I am 6-3 285lbs and as mean as they come i am so nasty i drink 10w30 oil for breakfast. lol just joking i wear crocs got a pair to go to dw in sept and i think they are great my feet are never sore and my freinds all have them so yes real men wear what they want and just do not care what anyone else thinks lol sorry me being nasty again but it is my crocs that make me tougher.

My DH is about as conservative as the come in his attire (white shirt, blue blazer, khakis, w/weejuns is the uniform), but he LIVES in his crocs. I don't think he gives a fig what they look like!

Real men DO NOT WEAR CLOGS. Even if you change the name and material they are made from they are STILL CLOGS. Womens shoes not men. Unless your the little dutch boy , but then you have a silly haircut and knickers and that's another story.

My husband would like to invite you to come say that to him. He'll make some time for you in between SWAT training sessions. :teeth:

Wow, that's pretty rude... and closed-minded. It must be fun being around you! :rolleyes1

I told my DH about this thread and he said

"Real men don't give a **** what anyone else thinks"

real men are not insecure about things like this so thats all i am going to say and i am just finnishing my can of 10w30 oil good drink oh boy i spilled some on my crocs have to get a new pair maybe two lol

Actually, the chef Mario Batali, on the Food Network, was the first person-man or woman-that I ever saw wearing them. That was several years ago. He wears the orange ones.

My DH2b gave me the "you've GOT to be kidding" look when I suggested crocs. As manly as my 6'3 MAN is, he won't wear them and questions those who do! Even me...and I have teensy feet! So I got him a pair of Keens for the honeymoon and he's happy as a clam with them. He's so into water sports as it is, so keens are a shoe he understands and fellow water sport enthusiasts wear! Although I made it my mission to find and point out every man I saw wearing crocs over the 4th of July weekend...his only response was "Yeah and they look stupid..." the man will NOT cave! I thought they looked VERY fashion forward! :cool1:

I was at Nordstrom's buying Crocs for me and the kids yesterday, when dh called to see what I was doing. When I told him, he said "I want some, too! I don't want to be the only one in the family without them!" Mind you, he'd never seen them, so I had to warn him again that they weren't particularly attractive, but he insisted, so I came home with a navy blue pair for him. He put them as soon as I got home, wore them all night, and told me to throw away his other pool shoes--from now on, all he ever needed were the crocs.

Nordstrom had several "manlier" colors in the men's department, including black, brown, forest green, dark khaki, navy blue . . . and Mario's beautiful orange.

Might I suggest that "real men" don't read Disney discussion forums about footwear? Might I also suggest that "real women" wouldn't make such inane, sexist comments?

Thats Great.. My husband is your twin... Anyway.. He said he wont wear crocs.. But dont think I dont see him going out to the mailbox in my BabyBlue
tie-dyed ones..... :rotfl: :rotfl: (dont know how he gets his foot in them)

Anyway.. I am going to buy him a pair for our trip in 2 weeks.. he has a pair of sketcher sandals that he wears everywhere.. but I think he needs something else other than those and tennis shoes.... and my DS10 gets made fun of all the time buy the girls in his Karate class.. you think he cares...
Nope.. Just tells them at least his feet are cozy....

Real Men wont Care !!!!

We just got back from vacation to Gatlinburg, TN this evening. There were people, including men, wearing them everywhere. Even my dd22 who said she would NEVER wear them said she might just have to try a pair. I think seeing lots of people -- other than mom -- made her think they might be comfortable enough to wear no matter how dorky they look.

I work for a hospital, and that is all everyone wears including men. I have seen alot of male patients wear them also. I do not own a pair though.

Mario Batelli (Food Network) wears Crocs, and I heard a report from someone who saw Steven Tyler wearing them.
