Do location services work well based on park wifi alone?

My son has an iPod touch. Is the in park wifi coverage good enough to provide an accurate location to his iPod when we are there? Mainly I am thinking of the MDE app and Find my friends...

Those applications rely more heavily on gps than wifi. They use the wifi to download a map, then use gps to find your location on the app. The in park wifi is likely good enough just about anywhere to get the map part done. But not sure if an iTouch has gps. Your best bet is to go to a spot with free wifi somewhere close to home and try it out.
