I have seen some really cute custom princess dresses and was just wondering if you have seen little girls dressed up on the ship at dinner time? princess:

Oh my goodness, yes! They dress up all the time but especially before dinner for pictures and dinner.

No, no little girls ever dress up in princess dresses....at least not more than 24 hours a day.:rotfl2: I mean, they need their princess dresses and princess PJs, right? I've even seen some really big girls (in many senses of the word) dressed up! Somehow a 50 year old in a Snow White dress just doesn't cut it!:goodvibes

I think the better question is "Do little girls not dress up on cruises in princess dresses?" If I can get mine out of her princess outfits for bedtime, I'm doing good. She wears them to dinner, in the club, whatever.

I saw some awfully cute little girls in princess dress on my May cruise. Especially Princess Tianna. SHe had the look down, I think she might have been 2 or 3 at the most. Just darling.

What age range usually dress up? I'm sure all the little ones 6 and under dress up but how about 7 and older?

Little boys wear costumes also - Peter Pan, Hook, etc. Just too cute.

My little girl wore her princess dresses every night on our Med cruise, except the formal night when she wore a posh dress. TBH next time we go I don't think I will bother with so many normal clothes for her because she will only want to dress up anyway.

Now you know that is probably going to bite you, because next time you will have one pair of shorts, one tee shirt and the rest princess clothes and she will be saying Mummy, they itch me, I don't want to wear them! Kids, you know how they are.

I really love to see the little girls all dressed up, and the little boys with their spiffy ties and such. You hardly get to see the kids on the ship because so many of them are in the clubs, I get a realy smile from seeing them at dinner.

Yes you're probably right! At the moment though she loves dressing up. She's always loved going to Disney and wearing her outfits, even from a very young age. She's a real girlie, girlie bless her and totally refuses to wear trouser or shorts, it has to be dress or skirt.

I love to see them all wearing their outfits to dinner as well, they all look so nice. I loved looking at all the kids formal outfits as well, so of the dresses are so beautiful.

I am glad to hear so many dress up! I want to get a custom outfit but I want to justify the price. We will be goingt o WDW 6 weeks after the cruise so I know she will get some wear out of it. My boys will be almost 8 and almost 6. I'm not sure they will want to dress up.

We had a delightful chat in the theater one evening with a girl about 10. She told us that she had a different princess dress for each night. Granted, there are not a lot of dressed up 10 year olds, but if the kid wants it, go for it.

Hints to mom...if you can sew, you can make them WAY cheaper than buying. If you can't sew, think about the day after Halloween at the Disney store! 75% off looks really good!

Yes and even on pirate night! My daughter refused to where pirate clothes, even the pink girly ones. She was a Princess! I can't wait for the BBB (Bippity Boppity Boutique) on the Dream - hopefully....
