Just want to make sure my 2 yo who eats like a horse will be able to eat at the buffet restaurants. We are speciffically eating at Hollywood and vine (CB) and Akershaus (CL) and want to know if we should bring food for him or not...

thanks!

2 year olds will be treated no differently than you all at a buffet. (Except you won't have to pay for them.) They can have their own plate for free.

We ate at Liberty Tree Tavern on the DP last December with out 16 mos. old (family style for those that don't know) and the server was nice. Our DD ate directly off our plate the whole time... but at the end for dessert, he offered to give us a plate for her, then proceeded to take 3 packages off our DP. I had to call guest services and get it back, in the process being scolded. It really made me upset! I think I will just have her eat directly off our plate-literally-to avoid that happening again.

That is so not cool! Our 2 year old has always eaten off her own plate and we've never been charged. I think the server you had was the absolutle miniscule execption to the rule. 99.9% of the servers at Disney know what time it is and don't charge for kids under 3. I wouldn't hesitate letting your kids eat off their own plate.

You won't have to bring your own food and your child won't have to eat off your plate. You'll be able to get a plate (or two or three) for your child.

I agree with Laugh O. Grams. Your KttW stated "2 A" and no children for the Dining plan (or "1 A" and "1 C" if it was you and two kids). It was obvious your 16 month old was legitimately not on the DDP.

For Hollywood and Vine--yes, they'll eat free.

For Akershaus, it's a bit different. Your 2 year old can eat off the cold buffet for free. However, if you order an entree for him--they will charge you. We just had my son eat off our plates. The dessert is served family-style, and that he can eat for free.
