I just called to make a reservation at the Sandcastle Club for my 2 kids on the 23rd of September & was informed that there is no availability at not only that one, but any of the Kids' Clubs for that evening! It's a Wednesday for crying out loud!!! :confused3 I didn't realize that I could have made reservations for these 90 days in advance, my fault for not asking that, but I sure didn't think this would happen!

Does anyone have any other suggestions for me because we have dinner reservations for 6 adults (at 3 different places - each couple going on a date night :cloud9:) & I don't know what to do!

Do all the Kid's Clubs have no spots available or just not 6 spots at one club? I'd call back and check on that. Could you split the kids up with say 3 going to the Sandcastle Club and 3 to the Neverland Club at the Poly? Some of the clubs are small and have limited spots. I would say it seems strange for all the clubs to be completely booked this far in advance. I'm sure it's possible, but it just seems odd.

Another, maybe more economical, option is to hire a sitter or two from Kid's Night Out. I've heard excellent things about them. The Kid's Clubs charge $11.25 an hour per kid. According to allears.net, the rate for 4 kids for a KNO sitter is $21.50 per hour. It says to call for rates for more than 4 kids. Here's the link.

OK, so this is really something. I just called back because I'm sitting here thinking that there is just no way this could really be & when I told the CM that I was looking for the Sandcastle Club from 4 to midnight, she said that it doesn't open until 4:30 - which totally explains why nothing was available at 4pm. I can't believe she didn't notice that small detail especially as bummed as I was!

It just goes to show you that what everyone says about calling back & getting a different CM is oh so true!

So, I now have a confirmed reservation for the 2 kids @ Sandcastle Club for our date night & we're going to do Jellyrolls afterwards too!! :woohoo:

Thank you so much! We actually only have 2 kids, the 6 are adults! LOL! I called back & got another CM & we got what we needed!! YAY!!

Phew! Glad the second call worked out. Such a small detail can really throw things out of wack!

Thank you!! OMG - I was really freaking out for about an hour!

My parents are having dinner @ Kimonos, my brother & sister-in-law are having dinner @ Cape May Cafe & DH & I are eating dinner @ Coral Reef then we all plan on going to Jellyrolls for the rest of the evening so we wanted the kids to be right @ the Sandcastle Club so we could just walk over to get them!

I feel so much better now!!! :rotfl:

Oops! I read that wrong!

I'm glad it worked out. I thought it didn't seem right, but as soon as I say "no, not possible" it will turn out to be true. I think just about anytime you get an answer that doesn't seem quite right, you need to call back and talk to another CM. It's amazing the amount of misinformation some CMs give out.
